JAN'S SOUL TRAIN
WINDOW SEATS
****************************

Anything you can set on a table can be fixed, or else disposed of;
anything you cannot  --  you are stuck with.

In a recent survey of six billion and seventy five people,
six billion said they either: vehemently disagreed with this statement  --  or:

did not want to even think about it.

The world is filled with two sorts of what humans have labeled  --   problems:
situations which men have the ability to alter  --   and:
situations about which men can constructively do nothing;
situations they cannot change to satisfy themselves,
nor permanently rid themselves of;
the best that ordinary minds can do with these is smother ‘em in proverbs.

Anything you can set on a table can be fixed, or else disposed of;
anything you cannot --  you are stuck with  --  and for very good reason:
it exists only in you  --  in-your-mind  --  and as everyone knows:
your mind can neither be fixed, nor disposed of,
  (   “But pa pa --  are we not getting ahead of ourselves?!”
         “Quite so my son  --  but that is what thoughts do.”)

Every little boy & girl wants to grow up to either be a professional soccer player,
or to someday have their mind opened to what is really going on,
but in that they quickly discover that kicking a ball is both easier,
and more popularity-valuable,
most humans never pursue the goal of running down the truth
beyond the age of twelve,
and so are never forced to face the vexing situation of: Problems-&-The-Table,
(in a survey last year of six billion and seventy five people,
six billion said that choosing the kicker’s life was a decision
they could not recall having actually made, [but then most mumbled something about
it having worked out pretty much okay any way]).

After the age of  bar mitzvah, the normally operating human mind has no interest in what might be behind apparent things, occultly making them run;
a child will only ask: “Why is up up?  –  good sometimes bad?
and what is the largest number in the world?”
a finite number of times before his interests either naturally shift,
(thanks to hormones), or, (thanks to the lack of responsive replies),
he gives up, (or a combination of both if you're in the midwest).

But looked at from a more serious adult perspective: what real questions and problems do children have anyway? --  only childish, meaningless ones:
they want to know why the sky is blue,
while you want you know why your wife left you;
kids ask if god can get sick and you ask: “Why did I get cancer?”
Children ask foolish questions that have no answers,
while adults ask serious questions that are foolish and have no answers,
and present problems which inherently have no solutions  --  but:
as long as your mind does not purposefully look at all this head on,
you are never held down in the locker room and the itching powder of
the TableSituation poured in your cortex.

Cancer can be fixed, and if not – disposed of, (along with the rest of your corpse);
fretting over the injustice of you getting cancer, cannot  --   unless!.....................

Near a certain weird  looking mountain ia a guy known as: The Set It On The Table Man,
to whom people from far and even farther bring their problems,
based on his guarantee of being able to solve all,
and when you take your seat across from him at his desk and tell him
what your problem is,
he will slap his hand on the desk and say: “Set it down right here and I’ll fix it right up.”

People go to him with problems about their love life; their reputations;
their psychological fears; their dreams for success;
the failure of the world to recognize their genius, (and one guy with
a toaster that wouldn’t work, who was the only person to ever visit
The-Set-It-On-The-Table-Man who could set his problem on the desk & have it fixed),
but when confronted with his words:
“Set your problem here on the desk and I will fix it” --  few visitors are ever pleased,
and suddenly shook, (as they should be), awake from the mortal dream thereby.

From mythologies through allegorical narratives has man been pictured as
living not in the real world  --  but in a dream world,
and there is no more exemplary feature of this proffered condition than
man’s world wide, pervasively accepted concept that he has  --   problems! --
no, no --  not just the common animal problems of eating and staying alive,
but unique problems  --  problems known only to man,
and a woman in the audience raised her hand and asked:
“For the sake of maximum accuracy, shouldn’t you say:
Unique problems experienced only by man,
rather than: known only to man?!”  --   madam,
the problems singular to man are experienced only by his knowing of them, (that is),
via their introduction into his life solely by means of thought.

But no question  --  ‘tis true, men have, (say they have, which is all the proof needed), unique problems,
but what the ordinary mind cannot see (or at least come to grippers with),
is that the uniqueness of these problems is in their inability to be solved,
(which as The-Set-It-On-The-Table-Man will tell you is due to you not being able to
set them down on the table to be fix and solved.
(In a survey last Saturday of six billion and seventy five people,
six billion said they didn’t want to hear about this shit, [and one more admitted he was beginning to weaken]).

No friends, the six billion majority are right  --   they are telling the truth;
the normal human mind does not want to, (let’s be precise: is not made to),
look at its non essential operations in the manner constantly presented here
in this daily news report.
You will not find one perfectly normal mind on this planet that has any native interest in hearing about the: Human-Problems-&-the-Table-Situation;
indeed, field trials have conclusively shown that they will not even listen to
anything about it for longer than the few seconds it takes to first describe it;
once the mind realizes what is being pointed to it quickly will dismiss the matter: “That’s bullshit!   Jeeze! -- what a load a crap!” (or some equally insightful comment).

“Galveston  --  we have a problem!
if we are forced to set our problems on a table
something unspeakably horrible happens!”
   “And --  that is?”
“You know damn well what --  that is!
How do you think The-Set-It-On-The-Table-Man has been able to
offer his money back guarantee all these years and stay in business?!
Don’t get cute with me  --  you people down there understand all too well
what is going on here and the danger we all face unless we can get this thing
out of its shakey orbit and back down on solid, problem-ladden, mental terra firma.”

And agreed, (you hearty asternuts), there are human problems besides mere
unjust illness and undeserved failure in the recording studio,
or to get your Letter To The Editor published –
   “Hey, I thought this daily news site was devoted to weightier,
    more transcendent matters of a higher nature, like the problems of:
    God: Truth: What is reality? and the like!”  --  well put sir, (and right on cue):

the mind not only plays round the clock host to problems that cannot be
set on the Table Man’s desk,
it moreover sees certain of them to be metaphysically magnificent and
supremely significant for the very fact that they cannot be,
(and according to a contemporary survey: that is exactly the way the mind likes it!).

People who say they want their strictly human problems solved  --  lie;
they do not intend to  --   they are not aware they do,
and they can never be made to understand that they do.

“Lie” is just a word --  simply a sound the mouth can make,
and in this instance regarding human problems,
the word lie might just as well be replaced with the term: The-way-it-is --
because indeedie-doo – that is precisely --   how-it-is.

The human mind comes programmed with a knowledge of unique human problems:

problems which cannot be set on a table,
                                        problems which can never be solved,
                                        problems which are not intended to be solved,
                                              and most flamboyant of all the steps in this fandango:

the normal mind is not born with the capacity to ever see
the head-clearing significance of these three features of human-problems.
(And it is certainly a dance that must be seen for yourself to be fully appreciated.)

For the seventy five people not directly reported on in the supra surveys,
Waking-up, achieving Enlightenment, discovering The Truth is their biggest,
and in essence  --  only problem      --      now:

how can that be made to satisfactorily fit with all the other stuff  that’s just been said about problems?!.........................................................................................................................

Unsigned.
