JAN'S ROUGH SKETCHES
You Fill In The Missing Pieces*

* * ** * * * * * * * * * * * * *

If you are a fool, life has everyone pretend to be serious about what they are saying  whenever you come around.

A man who believes he has been mentally attacked has been so --
--  even if only by himself.

Better to never see a strong man once than to see him then a second time --
                                                     --  after he has weakened.

How sad the struggle to think you are somebody  --  special,
(well, that and mildly humorous).

Mental self is a verb dressed in a noun’s clothes.

.........................(P.S. to make it even more interesting: nouns don’t have clothes.)

Being-asleep is mentally just  --   stumbling-through-each-day  --  just barely getting by;

depending constantly on outside sources to trigger the thoughts that mechanically,
and dully pass through your mind.

The Totally Secret Rules Of The Totally Secret, Mirrored-Few

Never do anything you do not have to do,
and never do anything until you absolutely must do it,
and never tell anyone, (including yourself),
why you did anything in the manner you did.

....................................................(No humor here, for sure!)

ORDINARY MEN & THE  ETERNAL BALANCE

Every earth has a moon,

                                                       every bab has its boon.

One man notes:
“It’s not priests, politicians & economists taking what they say seriously
that is the problem,
the problem is me taking them seriously.”

The Punchline: “No, contrary to popular belief, mules can be trained,
but first you have to hit them in the head with the 2 x 4 to get their attention.”

The Question: Where is man’s 2 x 4?

He who sees paradoxes

is up a paddle without a creek.

If an enlightening experience results in a man becoming an Enlightened Teacher

--  it was not enlightening enough.

Mind looks for and produces an endless stream of thoughts that furnish
a satisfying though meaningless sense of accomplishment via -- bad news  --
e.g. hearing that vitamin pills do not actually provide proper nutrition,
so that mind can say: “Well that’s some bad news that is good and useful to know." Thus are all mortally uncovered plots & conspiracies.

It is a stupid worm who heeds the advice of a slug,
or a sleeping man, that of another sleeper.

Slopes to inclines are drawn,

and together they make up a  -- sloping incline.

Thought is either consciousness-taut, (when at its best),
or: consciousness-lax, (when at its worst  --  asleep, distracted and  routine).

Another indication that you may be getting more awake is
if you no longer miss anything, (either that or it’s age and Alzheimer’s).

As a ruler once said when his grammar was corrected:
“I am a king --  I am beyond grammar!”  --
so too is the new mind beyond having to answer to the original one.

That which an awakened man knows now

his old mind can never comprehend.

A man wholly engrossed in himself is never a danger to you --
since he never thinks of you,  (if by, “himself” is meant, his thoughts).

You understand what thinking really is

when you no longer care what other people think.

From yet another view, being awake is merely living just your own life  --   if
you ever realize exactly what that entails.

One man said: “I believe that to offend grammar is to offend God,”
and a second man said: “But I do not believe in God,”
and a third man said: “And I do not believe in grammar,”
and to himself a fourth mused:

“Were it not for grammar they would have no Gods OR beliefs.”

The man truly anxious to awaken eventually says privately to himself that
there is not enough stupidity problems and pseudo suffering in his life.
.......(wasn't somebody saying something earlier about humor?!?)

“Pa pa --  what would you say is the most crucial thing to awakening?”
    “Nothing.”
“Nothing?”
“Not when you‘re far enough along to know more or less what it’s all really about.”

CONCLUDING CONVERSATIONAL BIT

“The feet carry the brain   --   but not the other way around.”

..................................................."I knew that."

*fill in the missing pieces in your own head, of course, and you have  --  Awakening!
