Wanting
to wake-up is wanting to be a PrivateEye
–
a
self employed investigator of matters no one else is interested in,
or
wants to know about;
so
you have the whole field and all the good mysteries all to yourself
-- plus:
you
are
the field and all the good mysteries.

“Father,
will all who know what is going on tell you what is going on?”
“Do
you wish for me to speak just for myself or for others also?”
“For
everyone who knows.”
“Well I do not know for a fact that anyone
else but me knows.”
Save
regarding food and water, naught can be said of importance ‘bout what one
thinks .......‘pared to what one feels........which ‘course has no
voice to say anything ‘bout itself.
What
a few create -- the rest scramble to enlarge on,
(that
is, those who fear being found out if they steal it out right).
A
jazz musician cannot freely improvise if he still hears his heroes playing
in his head;
same
with thinking.
A
real man should hear no one in his head but him ----
if that.
All
mimics sleep --- both in the world of men outside you,
and
the world of thought inside you.
Only he is free -- in total poverty.
To
whatever thoughts your mind holds -- hold your
mind.
- - -
He
who profits from sleep is its supporter;
no
one profits from being awake --- not that you can
prove.
“Father
-- why can some things be proven and some things not?”
“Why are there banquets and photographs of
banquets?”
- - -
A
maxim holds that gluttons stuff their bellies today with tomorrow’s stomach
ache, and so too do men their minds, foolish ideas later regretted
-- ‘cept in this case,
ordinary
men never realize the cause of the discomfort.
To
a child you would say:
“Until
you can reprove yourself you cannot take reproof from another” --
to
a real man it would go: “Until you see what thoughts do to your mind
you
cannot hear anything about the mind from another.”

CONCERNING:BELONGING TO SOMETHING
The
real
PrivateEye
rides the train only until he can be his own tracks --
which
are the only ones that will take you beyond the goober’s get-off point.
If
you are satisfied to go but where your heroes (and everyone else) has gone,
you
have more or less wasted the trip, (well, squandered the best part).

In
support of the lingering sensation that there must be a special purpose
to human life,
an
apparently pertinent picture has presented itself in men’s minds,
that
of a man finding for the first time a working watch,
and
after much reflection thereon finally concluding that it indeed has
a
special purpose: that of measuring time, and that ergo,
everything
man discovers in this life surely has its unique reason for existence --
but
what is eternally overlooked is the fact that the reality of all men’s
metaphorical finds are not found somewhere outside the finder,
but
strictly within him -- solely in his thoughts.
A
son checked with his father:
“Let
me see if I have it all straight:
never
buy anything that anybody wants you to buy;
never
listen to anything anybody wants you to listen to,
and
never look at anything anybody wants you to look at – does that cover it?”
“One more thing: include your own thoughts in all of it.”
The
large perceived, strictly human problems are the impressive sound of
a gigantic choir of annoyed gnats.
A
real
pseudo
intellectual is one who will
pretend
to know the meaning of a word that he does not,
even when alone.
- - -
Being
asleep is being mentally -- event-&-other-people-driven;
being
an exception is turning your mental attention exclusively to
your
own mental activity.
Describe
water to a fish and he’ll think you’re hallucinating --
same
with describing distraction to the distracted --
confusion
to the confused --
being
mistaken to those mistaken, or -- sleep to a sleeper.
The
world’s most lasting proverbs were all composed by bacteria.

You
cannot help what you think unless you can help how you feel;
you
cannot help how you feel unless you can help how you feel;
no
one can seem to help how they feel. What d’you think?.........
Ordinary
minds are happy when others notice & comment on their thoughts,
but
are not pleased to do so themselves.
- - -
What
does it mean that men have gone from ridiculing gods to revering them
--
taking,
(in truth), super mentality quite seriously?!?
One
guy says:
”The
little degree to which men comprehend what transpires in their heads is
truly -- no, sadly astounding...........................and remarkably
difficult to accept.”
'Tis
commonly asserted that happiness is but a by-product -- but no one
is sure of what.
One
guy says that happiness is in being chronically fooled and distracted.
The
closest that ordinary minds come to satisfaction
is
the belief that they will one day be so.
The
true PrivateEye,
(through his professional experience),
comes
to realize: “Screw tomorrow” -- (in that notion’s most civil
sense, of course).
And
one man mused: “For some reason I am convinced that
if
I could be as happy & satisfied as my individual cells are I would
truly be
happy.
I do not understand it -- but it must be
so.”
And
one man stopped calling his dog and began beckoning its fleas.
- - -
One
man muses: “If the god men talk about does exist
there’s
one thing you can say about him: He’s sure
lied to men........hmmm,
come
to think of it, not unlike my mind’s treatment of me.
Hmmm?!?!.....”
The
progression is from
theologist
to sociologist to psychologist and then white-out
--
blank --
blam-o time.
Wanting
to wake-up is the hearing of indistinct, distant music;
waking
up is getting over it and no longer being bothered by it.
“Is that really true?”
“That’s according to your definition of ‘true’.”
“Whew!
-- I thought you were going to say my definition of, ‘really’!”
“I was -- until I sensed what
a whew-inclined sort you are.”
RELIGIOUS PROVERB REVISED FOR A REAL MAN'S USE
If
the self did not exist -- it would be necessary to invent it.
...........................(words
can’t get much funnier than these 13.)
J
..........................There
is a substitute for waking up: turning
your brain inside out.
