Everything a man needs to see is inside of him  --
thing is, you have to learn how to see it  --   know what to look for.

....(“You ever notice: there’s always a thing to everything!”)

Believing you know the nature of a surprise gift forestalls its delivery  --   in fact,
the too-long passive anticipation of a prize renders it unrecognizable even if it arrives.

There was never a beautiful woman who does not in private strike poses in a mirror,
nor a  routine mind that will not through its cyclical thinking
attempt to impress itself with its own reflection.

(Thus do pseudo thinkers  both publicly and privately defame the fine name of, poseur.)

The good thing about meeting new people is that you can tell them the old lies
about yourself --
.....or else you can have old acquaintances with poor memories  --
.....or have a poor one yourself.

(You see, as always: everything can work out nicely for those who take every possibility into consideration.)

At best merely brushed by genius are those who declare their genius,
while he who totally confesses his stupidity is the real thing.
…“What, ‘real thing’  --   the real stupid thing?”
            “Whatever.”

Proverb: “Rising water lifts all boats.”
Correction: …"except stupid ones  --  the ones with holes in them."
Thank you.
  No problem.

If you never say what you will do, you will be able to do more;
and if you never tell what you think, you might learn how to really do so.

“Good fortune” mainly befalls the young and the sleeping;
the old and awake are either too hip or too experienced to believe in it.

Gentility & concern are crudeness & disinterest writ smaller  --  and in better hand.

Never underestimate the camouflaged vulgarity of civility    --     or its need.

....”Pa  --  is that why you knock me around like you do?”
“Just for my own good, you little neural bundle --
strictly for my own: get-up-outta-bed benefit.”

Fact: It is difficult to sleep while being pummeled.

‘Tis said that a fool can ask more questions than a wise man can answer,
a maxim which, inside a wise man’s mind/head, collapses --
--  (but for a reason the fool can never fathom).

The literate mind by literate words is known;
the awakened mind by nothing is known.
…“Pa, is that why…”   “Yes.”

Thoughts that support free will are idiots,
and those which deny it are imbeciles.
.......(Was anyone left out?)

If you are at all interested in the lives of other people
you will never have sufficient interest to shake your own life awake.

A man full of proverbs could be full of shit......or of something else.

As Regards The Mind Men Normally Think of as Being Their Mind

Mind creates itself; mind consists entirely OF itself.

Ignorance is not annoying, only unexamined, assumed knowledge: (e.g.
“Gene therapy has ethical problems” --   “Things are either true or false”  --
“God exists or else he does not”).

This is why natural stupidity is tolerable, but acquired not.

Figure out why life condemns lying and you’ve almost got it.

QUESTION OF THE DAY

“How do you know if someone you know is awake?”
“If there is someone you know intimately who you know nothing personal about.”

Speaking of the obvious:
obviously for people interested in this sort of thing,
nothing other than/but this sort of thing will do.

No feast men throw,

                                                          when the truth they find,
for they do so when alone.

BEING ASLEEP: THE FINAL WORD

Being asleep is nothing more than  --   mistaking the origins of things.

 “That’s the final word?!?”
                                                                  “It could be.”

Some of the News is presented right side up, some in a mirror, but even if stood on their head, a clear eyed man recognizes the way things are.
