The bottom line attraction of great wealth
is in its ability to protect a man from the vagaries of life:
with sufficient wealth a man can survive natural disasters; plagues;
social upheavals, even the military defeat of his homeland.

Immense wealth acts as a barrier between a man and the outside world
as nothing else can.


 
 

A man can be so materially wealthy that even if a foreign force conquers his country the invaders will come to him, respectfully, seeking his help to maintain their victory;
think about it : you can be so wealthy that sworn enemies of your group
will treat you otherwise & even solicit your assistance.
If you are materially wealthy enough there is almost nothing that
normally afflicts ordinary humanity which you cannot either avoid completely,
or whose effects you can measurably mitigate.

Nothing can protect a man physically as can enormous wealth;
this is its true value.




So too can a man be protected non physically by wealth of consciousness,
yet ordinary men freely live in self supported poverty.
They believe otherwise and will point to their continuing efforts to inform themselves as proof of the contrary;
the routine mind sees the acquisition of facts as the accumulation of mental wealth,
and for routine purposes, such be so,
but this standard condition is in truth a case of,  poverty-amidst-plenty,
in that statistics do not a holograph make,
(nor even a two dimensional, paint-by-the-numbers picture, complete),
and wishful opinions do not a reality-cake, bake.
 
 

Consciousness’ mind is literally on a starvation diet compared to what it could have, (again take note that the mental/verbal food that sustains routine thinking
is totally sufficient for the demands of routine life,
which is all that is of overall concern to both life itself and most individual men,
but in these instant News dispatches, a different  interest is addressed).

There is nourishment available which is incomparably richer than
that upon which men’s minds normally feed,
so rich in fact that it produces a wealth of consciousness that acts as a barrier between a man and the attractive but meaningless caprices in the mental realm,
and which protects him there from as nothing else can.


 

Its existence seems to lie beyond the sight of ordinary minds,
(or else they are not born with the predilection to exercise the effort needed to see it),
but what it reveals is to ordinary “facts” as:
calories are to hot air;
as gold is to a post dated check;
as sight-of-an-object is to wild guesses about it.
 

True to life’s reputation for economy & efficiency:
men’s minds know-just-enough  --   have-just-enough  --  to keep them alive & running;
if life wants two groups to clash,
and feeds their minds the justification for the conflict as being over
religious differences,
then that fact is all that life needs for the participants to have & accept;
if there be a richer, more informative consciousness of what is going on -- 
it is not needed  --  not for the instigation and sustenance of the desired dissension.
 

People caught up in such a disturbing affair live in a poverty of consciousness;
while their leaders and their own thoughts tell them that the facts
that brought about the conflict are such-&-such,
these such-&-such-facts are not the cause of what is occurring.
No matter the affair;  no matter the circumstances, no matter the people involved:
the reasons men’s minds give for what is going on is never the real reason;
a real reason is a full reason,
and man’s ordinary thinking is not programmed to look for full reasons;
part of thought’s responsibility is to come up with reasons,
(though piecemeal, partial & make-shift),
which offer just enough justification to keep the imaginary kite in the air;
if two groups go to arms because of what they say are ideological differences,
both sides will be able to mentally point, (with a minimal appearance of sanity),
to barely acceptable examples to support their separate claims.

Always is it thus;
reasonable sounding reasons to back up otherwise unreasonable behavior;
consciousness standing amidst potential great wealth  –  its pockets empty,
its resources drained by meaningless intrigues,
(this of course, from the exceptional view of the few who want to see more than
life shows on screen to the usual crowds in its theatre-of-the-mind).
 

This wealth is not to be had by the continual piling up of repetitive information;
the constant intake of facts (pro or con) about the same subject;
you can, for example, read about, study & ponder for eternity
whether it is liberal or conservative interpretations of religious ideas that is the proper one and your understanding of what is actually going on in life that creates the appearances of such questions and the activities from which they arise
will be added to not a whit.
No matter the subject,
no matter which position your mind is attracted to,
its support thereof  --   no matter how vigorous, sincere & fact-based  --
will never reveal to you what is really going on
and why the matter has been made to appear on man’s mental landscape.
You can accumulate facts, histories, opinions, even write them yourself,
until you are a world wide recognized expert in the matter,
and your understanding of the matter will be no further advanced than it was
the very instant when you first heard of it and was mentally drawn to it.
 

In a man who wants-to-see,
this is easily seen within his own mind;
it is blatantly true ---  almost embarrassingly so;
regardless of your education and the amount of factual knowledge you have
in your head concerning any non physical matter,
your actual understanding of what it really is;
why life had men’s minds create it;
its purpose, and how it goes about accomplishing same via man –
all of this is unknown to you:
you are rich in knowledge, but poverty stricken in understanding.
It is no flaw in you nor in mankind, but simply the way the mind
is programmed to operate for men to minimally meet the demands life makes on him.
 

The routine feeding of men’s minds is on the espionagical basis of:
Need To Know Only,
so that the only information concerning the overall operation going on
that is available to an individual operative is whatever little bit is necessary
for him to have to just fulfill his small role in the entire scheme --
.........................and no one but life and the few is ever the wiser.
 
 

You acquire the extraordinary protective wealth of extraordinary consciousness by ignoring the public trough and feeding your mind only extraordinary nourishment --
nourishment that is neither pro nor con regarding any commonly
discussed question;
nourishment that ultimately has nothing even to do with such matters,
but rather bears directly on the normally unseen matters  --  plainly going on  --
which produces the matters seen, debated & fought over by the poor.
 

If you are to-this-interest-born,
then you do not have to live in a poverty of consciousness,
a poverty that is indeed the source of your irritations, fears & questions;
once you have been made aware of this  --  you remain poor then by choice.



                     Why would a man be poor when he can just as easily be wealthy --
                                              --  beyond all common dreams.
