September
23, 2001.
On a planet near the center of
one solar system
there are creatures who have
two separate brains;
one brain totally determines
what the creature does,
and the other one simply takes
note thereof,
(and does sometimes [based on
its observations] offer suggestions).
Although the first brain is
in fact responsible for the creature’s
very survival, the second one
considers itself an equal,
(about which the first voices
no objection).
***
The same desires affect an elephant,
a flea, and man --
but not the same distresses………..…(man
has specialties).
Does wet desire dry; cold, hot?
or must all have a creature
to act as a medium?
What if your mind is merely a
needed medium for some
unrecognized desire of some
unknown other creature?
***
Other
people’s words is their hamster running your mental wheel.
***
On one world they both kreker
and vaver;
krekering causes things to happen,
while vavering does not,
yet they are given equal respect,
(at least by those with a taste
for vavering).
***
Man’s grossest form of hubris
is also that of his most brilliant blindness, (to wit): the talking part
of his brain taking credit for desires for which it is not the source:
a man saying that he fell in
love with a particular woman because of
her political views, or a childless
woman saying she is so,
based on some intellectual decision,
or any other examples of talking-neurons
assuming the mantle of
decision making & control
in vital areas
when such clearly goes on silently,
further back in the brain.

Until you see what is going on
in your mind
you cannot see what is going
on in life;
until you know what is going
on in everyone’s mind
you cannot tell anyone what
is going on in life;
no one can tell anyone else what
is going on in life.
***
On one world, 2 is the most magical
of the magic numbers;
it is good white-magic, and
it is also nefarious black-magic,
but its true glory is reached
in its prism-magic,
whereby all that is joined is
divided,
and all that is cleaved is fused.
That which was grey
and uncertain becomes clear as sunlight.
***
Someone asked a man who spoke
on magical matters:
“What exactly am I supposed
to make of what you say?”
to which he replied:
“Other people’s words are a
hamster in your mental wheel,
and I do not know what your
wheel is like;
therefore I do not KNOW what
you make of what I say.”
(and to himself mused: “And
I doubt that you do either.”)

Anyone intelligent enough to
want to wake up
should be smart enough to realize
that one of the definitions of being awake is to: “Not waste energy.”
***
One man says:
“Many things easy to design
prove difficult to make work --
-- okay, you’re
right, there is one thing in particular
I have in mind.”
***
No man has a conception of himself.
……Oh, sleepers think they do.
***
You will never see what is going
on if you squander your attention on matters that do not matter to you
personally,
and on matters about which you
can do nothing;
the one thing that a man CAN
do something about is
where his attention is at this
very moment.
***
Your own thoughts are hamsters
that spin your own
mental-wheel-of-attention into
a daze;
into a state of empty staring
& distraction.
***
Ordinary people keep themselves
distracted from the fact that they live in mental uncertainty by constant
chatter; the subject -- no matter;
those commonly trying to awaken
keep themselves distracted from
their sleep by constantly talking
about how asleep everyone else is.
Just as every
tyrant needs at least one rebel to keep him alert,
so do the minds
of all actual men have that one thought which hounds them to awaken.
***
***
One
sign of what a man is,
is
if he does not consider life his dearest possession.
***
One guy says he’s decided to
become, “a tough customer”!
(What purveyor of what services
do you reckon he has in mind?)
***
A man with meaningless original
thoughts is always preferable to one spouting stolen splendiferous ones.
(Since everyone is a fool, at
least be a creative one.)
The
revolutionist needs a mind like a scalpel –
backed
by the force of a wrecking ball.

Under assault -- the sleeper would awake;
then in peace -- content with his sleep.
..even if life was nothing but strife & sorrow, an awakened man would refuse to acknowledge it.
