Before we get to today’s
Question & Answer
we begin with one entitled:
“What Do You Think About…?”
__________________________________
You distract yourself from reality when you say that you
think about something;
thoughts are not packets that hold some ideas;
thoughts are, in themselves, whole & complete entities;
they are container and content.
Three dimension city travel is not about, getting-somewhere
-- it is about going:
thinking is not about some thing
-- thinking is about thoughts.
*
Ordinary people cannot possibly be as mentally turgid
as they appear;
thus the need to introduce the idea of them all just,
pretending
--
-- so that it makes some kind of
sense.
*
One guy’s sentiment:
“We would be better off if men who publicly deliver bombastic
exhortations
would privately get bombed and keep the exhortations
to themselves.”
*
Those who worry about the end of the world have yet to
see its beginning.
*
The son asked the father:
“If I paid no attention to what other people say,
would that alone cause me to awaken?”
“Well,
you would certainly cease to doze as you do now.”
*
At any given moment, men take their state of mind too
seriously --
which is understandable, in that,
it is the only state of mind they have at any given moment.
Fact: any-given-moment
is every given moment:
waste now --
and you have squandered it all.
*
The normal brain has a hundred & ten acres planted
in worry,
and two reserved for an accurate survey of the property.
.........(Psst! Most people’s go unused.)
*
When you clearly (though surely, privately!)
do not understand what is going on in the life-thing
the most efficient face saving maneuver available is
to piss on other people’s feet,
and hope some splatters on their ideas as well.
(In yearbook photos from asylums, you will come off looking a wee bit better if, behind everyone else’s backs, you are pointing an accusatory finger at them.)
Those who say criticism serves no purpose are stupid idiots!
*
There is an endless struggle going on between
the brain’s conscious & non conscious operations
--
-- except the latter are not actually struggling
-- just the former.
*
All major powers are stressed by internal conflicts;
all such, “major powers” (sweety) --
are idiot nations,
and fit for photo opps only with other peacock pretenders.
Fact: No imbecile is at any disadvantage who recognizes
himself, fair & square.
*
There are no secondary reality solutions to first reality
problems,
but of course there are second reality
solutions to problems that occur
in the second reality.
…….........so you buy that?…..….didn’t realize that you
were a major power.
*
The father said to the son: “What do you make of this
one:
asphyxiated aficionados of, ‘Serious-Music’ will
vehemently denounce
the popularization of one part of a symphony,
(and fans of, haute littèrature, selected quotes
from a major opus)
and eventually will have the composer or author agreeing
with the view;
but what (in real life) is actually going on with some
men’s insistence that
you must sit through an hour’s worth of music/reading/other-activity
that does not interest you,
before you are allowed to enjoy brief moments of it that
does?
What sort of big city voo doo is being worked on an artist
that will cause him
to support such a position to his own disadvantage,
in that by so doing he is trying to suppress the possibility
that
at least some portion of his creative output will become
popular,
a posture that is totally foreign to the creative process
in that popular appreciation of a second reality creation
is its sole purpose?
Under sane circumstances: when a, man-plays-artist,
(that is):
he produces something that came solely from within him
--
popularity, (having an audience there for) -- is
the sole measure of success --
so: what on earth be-eth going-eth
on-eth,
my boy?
….and don’t forget to work this whole question
into the
apparent creative processes going on in your own
head.”
*
One man says he is particularly peeved -- and jealous
of –
a duck’s ability to put one hemisphere of its brain to
sleep,
while the other one stays awake and watches
through the eye on its side of the fowl’s head.
”Peeved!” he says,
“But mostly -- jealous.”

Some thing you might keep in mind:
Someone can know more than you do about automobiles
or architecture,
but no one knows more about life than you
do,
for even if someone does -- and
they try to tell you about it,
from their words you can only understand what
you understand;
thus everyone is ultimately on their own in
this.
Someone who knows what is going on while you
do not, realizes it --
you do not necessarily do so,
but if you find someone who you perceive knows
more than you, and you trust them,
then listen to their words while knowing,
as they do,
that you must do the actual comprehending
of life for yourself.
This can sound discouraging to the turgid,
but it is in truth
the supreme shortcut, good news and time saver.
All understanding is home grown.
...(and
as has been noted here before:
anyone
who tells you what is wrong about you & life does not understand anything.)
