Troubles are the only thing you can take with you everywhere.
Is it not interesting that you cannot even keep the
essentials for survival (food, water) with you under all conditions,
and yet troubles  --  you can.
You cannot carry enough water to survive indefinitely in a desert,
but you can have with you forever the troubling mental images of the people responsible for you being there.
Troubles are not the same as problems:
problems threaten your physical well being;
troubles bother your mind.
Problems can be solved; troubles only “dealt with,” (as ‘tis called).
The more head-oriented you are, of greater significance seems
troubles, even to the point of primacy over problems.
Most reading this have no problems  --  only troubles;
starving, homeless, ill & besieged refugees have problems.
The obvious original purpose of troubles was to be a tool to
deal with problems;
to mentally trouble over a lack of water for your fields
could lead to your suddenly picturing the digging of irrigation ditches from a near by river,
but when you are not faced with any such actual problems,
in what activity does your mind’s ability to be troubled engage?
When no lion is in sight, gazelles will stand around bitching & complaining about sports, politics, declining moral values,
and just generally running the numbers on one & all.
A reasonable view as to why our most “intelligent” organ continually occupies itself in such a vacuous activity
would be that when not faced with eminent problems,
the brain/mind starts churning up troubles as a means of
staying in shape and being prepared for their potentiality:
this would give pragmatic legitimacy to this otherwise
pointless exertion.
There is also the fact that ordinary people raise no objection to
the situation, in fact take no specific note thereof,
(except in extreme cases where the troubles in the mind
reverse the above and become a detriment to the body’s well being,
people so suffering are judged by their peers to then be,
”mentally ill,”  but this is not the norm).
Everyday people take the constant non extreme troubles
constantly churning in their mind for granted;
they seem justified; they seem natural, and go largely unnoticed.
Ordinary men take troubled-consciousness to be consciousness.
Creatures born breathing sulfur dioxide
can but take its odor as the atmospheric norm.
He who has never experienced untroubled mind
has no way of ascertaining that his is,
(other than by hearing about it --  which most will still ignore;
the majority of ordinary people are not programmed with an
interest in this matter.)
If you are not faced with actual survival problems
you dance endlessly in your mind with troubles.
Routine people do not think of what goes on in their thoughts
in this term necessarily;
if they were asked about it, most would declare that they are
reasonably free from a troubled mind, and would describe
its everyday goings on to be more like a
complaint & fault-finding operation
(if they could be so verbally veracious) --
a totally justified complaining & fault-finding,  (of course).
”Other people don’t act right; other people don’t think right;
the big shots don’t know what they’re doing, life is unfair
and I’m surrounded by idiots,” and so on:  a troubled mind.
All in all in all: ordinary people are not bothered by having a mind full of troubles lodged in their consciousness –
established in the center of their own concept of themselves;
in Lilliput, none know they are short unless Gulliver shows up;
                Gulliver shows up in a few men’s heads.
Least wise, he Threatens to make an appearance,
which is what wanting to doTheThing is all about.
The few with the G-Potential are bothered by the troubles
which seem so native to the mind,
and a few of the few even come to realize quite starkly,
the inanity of the, trouble-in-mind song constantly playing in their head in one version or the other.
For this notice, annoyance & realization of
the troubles' irrelevancy to evolve into something useful
you must further come to understand that no complaint your mind registers has any validity to you individually:
problems?  --  yes, you can take personally;
troubles?  ---  never, it is a fool’s sport;
a species wide pastime that is an absolute blinder to you ever
                                        doin’TheThing.
At any moment when you are allowing the capacity of your potential consciousness to be totally filled by the troubles that  ordinary thoughts automatically bring,
you are as far from doin’IT as is possible.
It does not matter what the particular complaint is that troubles
your mind --  it can even be regarding the troubles you are experiencing in doing TheThing.
A canary troubled by being yellow will never catch on.
What is truly troubling the few is not the ideas or lives of other men, but the fact that they themselves are saddled with a troubled mind.
A mind facing a problem  --   everyone accepts, even relishes;
a mind otherwise driven by mere, troubles --
everyone still accepts, save the few.
The few and everyone else have the same problem:
staying alive & healthy:
everyone’s, I-was-born-with-it-mind carries the same troubles:
its complaints with life & criticisms of everyone else --  but,
parting complete company with the conscious perspective of
the rest of the world --
the few can (if they are lucky and apply themselves diligently to being lucky) find their own way to somehow, peel the mental operation they were born with away from their full consciousness, and (there is no accurate term for this, but let us say),
“get-in-touch-with” another, normally unused ability of their brain.
This is called: doin’TheThing;
this is the morning hanging of all troubles;
doTheThing and no one is in the cell to be taken out and……..

No one is any longer in that troubled room   --   not even you,
(well,  even if at times you still are, you will no longer admit it).

Troubles are the only thing that ordinary men take with them everywhere they go  --   throughout their lives;
doin’TheThing is all that is going on inside the head of a man:
                                         doin’TheThing.
