                               Everyone has a mental sickness,
                     but if you are not aware of it  --  it does you no harm.

What would you think is the key word in that sentence?
“Sickness,”  probably,
but for those wanting to doTheThing --- ”you” is.
Everyone has a mental sickness,
but only if you are aware of it does it do you any harm.
Sickness may seem too strong a word --  yet,
if any other organ in man’s body operated in the manner,
and with the degree of efficiency as does the brain via
mental consciousness, it would easily be deemed ill & defective,
but amongst ordinary man, it takes extreme deviance from the prevailing collective norm for an individual to be seriously diagnosed by the group as having a, “mental illness”;
there is always much reluctance to so label a man,
for it remains a stigma; (turned a bit sideways):
it takes a lot of unruly behavior before the ruly are wont to call a man crazy,  (and you might note that the more civilized is the environment  --   the greater is the reluctance).
So while the word, “sickness” may at first sound unfounded
when applied to everyone’s mental condition
(including the sane & normal) there is no more appropriate term
when you impersonally consider the constant flow of flawed information the brain feeds to thought that results in useless,
& frustrating mental activity, a sickness if there ever was one – but
remember the opening statement:
“a sickness, that if you are not aware of --  does you no harm,”
so everybody gets a cheap door prize,
and everyone goes back home in the car they came in.
According to commonly accepted western history,
a Mediterranean chap by the name of Adam was the first to display the obvious symptoms of this mental sickness when his brain at first directed him to reach for a piece of delicious fruit on a tree --
then suddenly & inexplicably  ---  told him not to eat it,
(after that the malady spread quickly,
and it was all down hill, mental health wise).
All over the world, things that men were accustomed to being told to do
by certain areas of their brain were being contradicted by messages from other areas  --  but it got worse.
Besides telling men what to DO, the brain began telling men what to THINK --  “But,” (you start to object  --   save it;
no one here is interested in hearing your brain’s same lame
pseudo-explanation as to why it surely cannot be responsible
for whatever it is going on in there.  With a few, that paper plane
hasn’t flown since Adam decided,
“I’m gettin’ the hell outta here”  --   [yeah --  right!
When “Adam” decided!    And just where was his brain during all of this big-time decision making?!  There, there --  stay calm,
and we’ll get through all of this]).
Along with the other control systems of the body,
the brain & NS had long been telling man what to do;
which foods to eat; which climates to inhabit;
where to get the best prices on lap dances,
but telling men what to think was something new --
and of specific significance, the fact that what these newly appearing operations in his brain were telling him to think were sometimes in direct conflict with what other neural activities had
long been telling him to do,  (yeah, “You don’t like the smell of this!” ) --
but this is really pretty old news, and never was of much
objective interest to the man in the gutter --  street to begin with;
the aspect of this mental sickness pertinent to doin’TheThing
is how it causes a person to perceive others alone as suffering from it.
The appearance on this planet of this mental sickness
coincided perfectly with the emergence of: Reality.
“Huh?!” huffs you, “Are you trying to make us believe that before this sickness, reality did not exist?!”               Whoa! mouseketeers --  chill;
reality existed, but no one commented on it,
and no one commented on it because,
before the sickness established itself in man’s brain,
it had never said anything to him about any alternative to
the reality with which he was already familiar;
it was only after a newly functioning part of Adam’s brain
told him not to eat the fruit that another part of his brain had just
told him to pick, that the alternative, nay, opposition-to reality
came to man’s mind: Illusion!
Adam had reached for the fruit operating under the illusion that
he wanted to eat it,
such was the position held by that part of his brain
now telling him to refrain from doing so.
This mental sickness talks to man not merely about what he does,
but about what he thinks, and it is here that the sickness has
firmly established itself by telling each of its host humans that they alone (or almost so) see things as they really are:
they mentally, “deal-with” reality,
while anyone else (who is mostly, everyone else) who does not
see things as being like they see things as being
is seeing illusion --  not reality, but  --  illusion.
(In never-described practice it is like this):
“That part of my brain with the mental sickness tells me that what it tells me is correct, and that what your sick brain part is telling you is wrong.
The function in my brain with the mental sickness assures me that what it tells me is a direct representation of, reality,
while your brain’s form of the mental sickness describes reality to you
in such a distorted way that it is no longer reality, but --  illusion.
This mental sickness which everyone has is responsible for any and all progress man has achieved;
all change that man has undergone since his inception is directly attributable to this mental sickness:
no mental sickness  --   no civilization;
no sickness  --  no art;
no sickness  --  no religion;
no sickness  --  no literature;
no sickness  --  no science, no technology, no medicine (for the body, that is; the brain’s no dope),
and also of note is that, sans the sickness  --  no individuality.
For those whose pressing interest in life is to doTheThing,
this mental sickness’ primary manifestation in the general population is also their primary private concern (that is):
regarding how the sickness establishes in man’s thinking,
the illusion that there is something apart from reality,
(and by the by, acknowledge its perverse humor in then telling him to
call this illusion-of-a-deviation-from-reality by the name of --  illusion
[couldn’t you just squeeze the adorable little scamp to death!]).
Those wanting to doTheThing only have one obstacle to overcome:
this mental sickness which produces the illusion that
reality & illusion are two.
The way to tell that you are still under its sway is if
you do not recognize the previous sentence.
Only men who say there is a difference between reality & illusion
are not being harmed by the mental sickness that makes them say this;
and only the few who do feel harm from it are struggling –
--   no matter how unawares  --  to free themselves from the
individually-meaningless, but collectively-useful
hallucination that there are two things present &  going-on:
reality AND illusion.
There is no more the two things of reality & illusion than there is
the two things of the real you & the pretend you;
oh yeah, you & everyone else pretends that there is, but --  come on……
There are not two things of anything (unless just to be verbally facetious you wanna say that there are two stupidities, or two blindnesses,
or two imaginary battles to fight).
To doTheThing is to become, Two-Immune;
you do not see reality –
you do not see illusion  --
what you see is everyone else seeing: reality & illusion.
When your head & eyes are cleared you see that the only thing resembling illusion is in ordinary men believing that they
mentally distinguish between reality and illusion.
It is a mental sickness (do note)
and one that appears in no other part of the body,
and one that does no man any harm  --  as long as he is unaware of it.
If it is already too late for you, there’s only one thing left to do:
                                              doTheThing.
