SOME STORIES ABOUT SOME PEOPLE
________________________
One man believed that he could
make people disappear --
and no one could convince him
otherwise -- so,
he married a woman who thought
she could make people appear.
Does any of this sound somehow
-- familiar to you?! –
like something that somehow
goes on in your head? Huhhhhh?
The father so noted to the son:
”Everything we possess comes
from the ground.”
“How about consciousness?”
”How about WHAT?!……”
Whenever an ordinary man begins
to reminisce,
and vocally reflect on his life,
he immediately seems startled
to start stumbling over paradox & irony,
prefacing his comments with
such words as: “Surprisingly enough; interestingly enough; inexplicably
as it sounds…”
Question: How can a man who lived
through it,
look back and find his own life
ironic?
Is it time for a new definition of: Conscious?!
Written in the dust under a bed
in a monastery was the message:
”The only good mystic is a deaf
mystic,”
under which someone else had
later scrawled;
“The only better mystic is a
mute one.”
And one man who
lived in a near by village had a balloon which
he blew up SO large
that it disappeared.
(Now we’re talkin’ some REAL metaphysics!)
One man’s reminder: “A sentence
that may suddenly appear in your head Can be your friend…
..unless it is one that causes
you to say: ‘Yes, I did it -- I confess.’
(Chuck out those quick as possible!)”
And another guy’s latest
muse is that it won’t help to
think about things in numerical
order
if your stupidity is running
alphabetically.
“Hey,
every little bit helps, huh?!" –
“As a matter of fact, no
-- It doesn’t.”
"Thanks
heaps.”
A reader submits this inquiry:
”Does a man who, knows-what-is-going-on
know things that other people
do not -- or,
does he just know the same things
they do --
-- but in a different
way?”
(Bonus prize to anyone who can
detail the distinction between the two.
[The green
& purple,
Master’s
Stupid Jacket.])
And another net-watcher
writes:
“I now sometimes feel as though
I am reading your Daily News
even when my computer is not
on.
Should I ask you -- ‘What
gives?’ – or figure it out for myself?”
A visiting Reality Analyst today
issued this report:
”If men did not continually
try to make strictly human affairs
seem more significant than they
actually are,
they would not even have what
little-to-no significance they DO have.”
”Professor
Winslow,
it
is indeed rare creatures we have discovered here, which, (while imaginary),
must
still engage in on-going pretense even to maintain their illusionary status.
Yes,
Professor -- rare creatures indeed --
...assuming
of course that we exclude you………........................…okay, and me.”
One man’s car would periodically
stall --
which he took to be his fault;
had he been a knight on horseback
there would be some basis for
this assumption.
Each person lives with a potted
plant that sits on a toaster oven --
what the hell else do you need
to know to peacefully keep house?
…..(oh, all right: And one of
them talks to you. Now you got it?!)
One man cooked only for himself
-- that’s all he was able to do,
cause he’d constantly eat all
that he was cooking
just as fast as it was finished.
One chap suggests that the only
thing that makes the self
everyone is born with tolerable,
is that it convinces ordinary
people that if they become TOO dissatisfied -- they can trade it
in -- maybe even -- return it.
(The average consumer’s level
of perception is such that
governmental protection may
be
in order.)
And a young lad recently pondered
two posers:
(number one):
"How can a person BE protected
from their self, but stranger still:
how can a person NEED
such protection?”
One man has
two houses: One in the city, and one in the woods,
and yes,
everyone does, difference is -- he knows it.
(“How can my fridge talk about me that way
after all I have done for it?!” -- sob.)
Every business has someone running
it;
everyone is in business;
no one knows, you-know-what;
to compensate, everyone pretends
that they are.
(A harmless enough prank….unless
you are trying to go bankrupt.)
Outside the city, the wealthy are those with nothing left.
A
Rainy Day Game For The Neural Revolutionist:
Tell your hormones that you
have got to, “Go away” for a bit,
but that you will be back,
“Before they know it” --
then go off someplace and figure
out how it could ever be possible that you could do anything before
hormones would know about it.
(Fit this with the story of the
phantom army that had a real general,
and you will have put together
the game to end all games.)
And a man asked an expert:
“Is it as hard as it seems to
finally see what is really going on?”
“In the beginning,
yes,
but
ultimately it is either easy -- or it is impossible.”
(The expert’s brother’s motto is:
“Over indulgence comes as easy to me
as does restraint to others.”)
Today’s:
Insider’s Tip:
Overindulge yourself -- where
it counts.
