               SOME STORIES ABOUT YESTERDAY'S STORIES
                     _____________________________________

Every morning from a grocery store, one man would purchase
a packaged drink which had a pouring spout,
and which the next morning he would return
complaining that the liquid ran unacceptably down the side of the carton
when it was opened and poured,
and he would be given a fresh one in exchange.
Every day he did this; bought one; returned it;
received a new one; returned it; got a new one; returned it,
got a new one; returned it, and so forth,
until one morning, when he brought in the carton from yesterday,
to be complained about and returned,
a clerk said to him: “Tell me --
are you one of those people who're trying to,  wake-up?”

Everything that you do in every moment of your life
falls into one of these three categories:
it is either: helpful, enjoyable or a time killer.

There is one planet which is populated by two distinct groups:
the tight,(who are serious about life),
and the loose, (who seem not so),
and the tight find much fault with the loose’s attitude
toward work, responsibility, and getting-somewhere-in-life,
and one day, after one of the tight had reprimanded one of the loose, (who happened to be in his employ), regarding his insouciant approach to life, the loose one responded by saying that the tight one and his kind were far too square,
and took things way too seriously,
to which the tight one retorted in a dramatic & conclusive tone: “May be --  but just look around you my friend,
it is us up-tight-squares who run this world!” --
a comment which elicited from the loose one only an unconcerned,
“So what?” shrug.

Everything that you do in every moment of your life
falls into one of these three categories:
what you are doing is either: helpful, enjoyable or a time killer.
Question: In what category falls: Wanting-to-wake-up?
(Hint: There is one human activity, and only one,
that falls simultaneously into all three categories.)

There is a company that has a sales force of total incompetents.
They represent a solid product;
have attractive brochures,
and sure as hell can --  shoot-a-good-line-of-bull --  yet still,
they are never able to actually SELL
what they say they have TO sell.
...(P.S. However: the company could not BE more successful.)

There is an area in which sits two towns:
one in a valley, and populated by mutes,
the other on a hill above,
and full of people with all their physical senses -- and indeed,
with a particular delight in the art of speech,
(but not all that bright when compared to the mutes below,
who have to furnish the verbose, hill-top people with all of their
food & power).
There may be a lesson to be learned here --  who knows?!?

…(But that brings to mind another land wherein the inhabitants
have no concept of there being, “lessons-to-be-learned” from
being alive;
they seem to accept just BEING alive as the only thing
one needs to know….. or perhaps even --  can know.

But why worry about them? --  they are so --  SO far away!)

During an interview when “Kid” Hormones was asked about,
”Iron, Glass-Jaw” Thoughts, he replied good naturedly:
“Ah, I’ve been carrying that stumble bum for years.”

There is a thing  --   a place  --  a situation wherein:
the message exists solely for the purpose of making
the medium's existence possible  --
and it is more than is conveyed by such an
exemplary description as:
the candy bar and the wrapper are the same thing --  no,
it is deeper & more sideways than that:
the candy bar exists solely so the wrapper can:
that is the candy’s only, “Meaning & purpose” for being.

(As regards non-problem-working, day-dreaming thoughts):
such thoughts themselves mean nothing,

but only by the existence of thoughts can thinking exist;

the only reason men have these thoughts
is so they will have something to think about.

                                   "Hup, two, three, four;
                            we march  --  thererefore we are."

                       The Follower’s Union has issued this statement:
                       ”One good thing about having a guru is that,

                        if you don’t Wake-up --  you can blame him.”
                        Shortly thereafter The Society Of Gurus issued their own statement:
                       ”This is not at all what we had in mind!”

...(Insider's  Tip: The way you can tell you are on course is if you can take everything you presently think you understand and reverse it
    and it still explains just as much.)
