Once
the true few are exposed to the thought that:
man normally lives in a world of distorted mental perception --
not unlike being in a dream -- but from which he can awaken
--
this
becomes the most serious thing in their lives,
while
the other ninety nine per cent of people who claim to be interested therein
use it merely as a hobby, or as a cover for their hostility.
This
is no assault on anyone or group, but objective note of what the majority’s
behavior in this affair ultimately reveals,
and
once you realize for yourself, what is going on,
most
men’s failure to see this matter to its conclusion becomes understandable.
The
apparently wide distinction between the few’s desire for a
non
doctrinal state of understanding,
and
ordinary men’s attitude toward things-of-the-mind,
is
not the reality proclaimed by its routine metaphysical supporters, or detractors;
the
potency of thought is in its ability to alter its own operation –
--
and do so quickly, compared to the evolutionary changes accepted as the
norm, via man’s study thereof;
this
unique capacity has given rise to man’s enjoyment,
and
promotion of: learning-for-learning’s-sake:
the
sudden, unrestrained pleasure a man experiences somewhere in his brain
from finding the solution to a practical problem,
to
reading a bit of trivia about a subject of avocational interest.
The
brain likes & seeks new stimuli,
and depending on the individual’s particular neural wiring,
will
find it, ranging from fresh celebrity gossip, to recent scientific discoveries.
An
underlying effect of this is man’s normally, un verbalized belief that
learning:
the expansion of his thoughts’ repertoire, is by all measure --
a good thing,
all
the way from increased knowledge producing increased income,
to
the intangible, pure pleasure it produces in the brain.
The
step from here to an extraordinary state of,
“mystical
enlightenment” is not as discrete as normally assumed.
Those
wired of, scientific-mind scoff at the idea -- and understandably
so,
particularly,
in-light-of -- but not, due-to,
the
way it is always spoken of by those with no comprehension of it.
The
hard reality that gave birth to & now supports the idea of
another
state of mental perception being possible for a man
is
no more than the non mysterious extension of the normal learning process;
it
is the expansion of thought’s reservoir -- in an individual
--
beyond
that of the contemporaneous collective;
it
can be labeled, “Enlightenment, Awakening,
Liberation,”
or
any other word you want to put in caps & quotation marks,
but
it remains nothing other than an expansion of a man’s thought, although
granted, in a direction, (there is no accurate word for this),
in
a direction not ever presently needed for ordinary living,
or
comprehension of the environment.
The
Enlightened, (though better put: Extended
State Of Learning),
state
is the much wider, (in fact, all inclusive, as far as a man’s
instant
mental sight can ever perceive), understanding of his environment, both
the physical, without, and the mental, within.
Thought
expanded, as results from these so-called, “Mystical states,” does not
simply add to the type of knowledge which a man’s mind already holds:
having
your brain’s evolution kicked forward a bit
does
not consist of going from arithmetic to algebra;
from
apprentice mechanic to master, or from priest to pope;
when
your individual thought function expands to its greater capacity
what
your brain’s mental consciousness then perceives is based no
longer
on facets, such as: science, technology, and art, -- but rather,
your
thought now takes in -- in its whole --
man’s
mentally-dependent, second reality
just
as surely as your body always has the primary, physical one.
When
your brain’s function of thought so extends,
you
do not simply, know-more-than-everyone-else -- indeed --
you know less,
for
you now know what knowing is,
and
what knowing is, (as concerns the realm of intangibles),
is
an act of nothingness:
harmless,
often entertaining -- nothingness,
for
there IS nothing to be known about nothing,
(other
than the fact of it being nothing).
The
brain, through its thought,
ceaselessly
seeks new stimuli, in the form of new learning,
and
those born with that, certain-hunger
feel
a neural longing that is in no way qualitatively shared by the rest of
humanity,
but
to move under the erroneous presumption that this hunger is in any fashion
supernatural, and driven by forces outside of everyday reality,
is
to waste your time, in a practical sense;
you
may certainly find intellectual pleasure in the discussion-game of:
Trying To Wake Up,
but
unless you struggle to see what it is truly about,
nothing
substantial will result there from --
-- and you will die just as pissed & mistaken as you are now.
The
sole motivation inside the true few
is
their brain producing a single thought which says that:
thought
can be more than it is now,
but
be advised, here-&-now that,
this,
“more” that it can be is not more of the facts, info, opinions,
and knowledge
that
all of your other thoughts already consist of;
it
is the knowledge of what THEY are.
The reality of, Waking-up
is this:
your one thought which wants
to wake up, suddenly & finally realizes what all your other thoughts
amount to -- nothing.
That is, Being-Enlightened
-- that is it --- but rest assured:
when it happens to you --
it is more than enough;
it is everything that your one,
hungry, driving thought ever imagined --
times sunshine to the 32nd power.*
