SLIPPIN’ AND A’SLIDDIN’,
STILL PEEPIN’ & A’…

(Part 4 of a conversation.)
The next day, after their morning
ride,
the father picked up his special
conversation with the son again:
”Connected to what I have been
talking about is a matter most curious, and indicative of the overall misdirection
to which man’s brain/mind seems intent on subjecting him, (if not itself),
which you call, ‘being asleep
& confused,’
and that is: men’s professed
belief that they can
HIDE things about themselves
-- FROM themselves.
It is part of man’s conventional
wisdom about himself that he has both the inclination, AND ability to keep
certain facts about himself
unknown to himself,
(at least, unknown to his, ‘conscious’
self, as the ordinary say,
but no matter the terminology,
the facts remain constant).
Routine men would also want
to say that it is not simply a matter of
men keeping facts about themselves
secret from themselves,
but is more a situation of them
suppressing,
and wiping-away the memory of
certain facts about themselves
which they do not wish to face;
but such a verbal shift of view
does not alter the actual landscape.
Ordinary, everyday, normal, sane
people, all around the world,
and throughout the annals of
history,
have & continue to profess
to be, ‘Hiding-things-from-themselves’ –
not hiding easter eggs or xmas
gifts from themselves,
but hiding things about THEMSELVES
from themselves.
The acceptance of this idea is
so uniform with collective-man
that no one gives it any real
attention even when they talk,
or hear about it.
Otherwise routinely intelligent
people say they believe that men’s minds find some things so abhorrent
about the genetic reality of
the person they occupy, and
his behavior, resulting there from
that it, (the person’s brain;
his Control & Information Central),
will -- and CAN
-- simply hide such matters from itself;
keep these unsettling facts,
secret from itself.
This is so an ingrained part
of man’s collective thinking now that
when you hear such descriptions
you are not instantly struck:
’This is ludicrous --
verging on delusional.’
No, people accept the entire
idea as proven, if not, self-evident fact,
and in fact, educated, sophisticated
people pay large sums
to other educated, sophisticated
people to help them
drag out these secrets they
are hiding from themselves
into the open for therapeutic
purposes,
(and religion promotes the benefits
of, ‘Confession-of-secret-sins’,
to Allah, [or one of his employees]).
Even those involved with that
certain minority activity of trying to,
‘Achieve Enlightenment, Awakening,
or Liberation’ embrace the notion;
throughout this activity it
has always been taught that the absolutely, necessary basis for any possible
future enhanced
state of consciousness is the
true knowledge of who you are --
which obviously requires that
you, ‘hide-nothing-from-yourself.’
The entire concept from top to
bottom is patently outrageous,
and absurd when you consider
it as is applicable to man’s brain,
(which is the very thing which
directs him to say that
he believes such a thing to
be true, & possible),
and that is what makes the matter
so curious & interesting,
and pregnant with eye-blink-potential.
As an aside, what is almost as
ridiculous is man’s asserted belief that he can hide things about himself
from other people;
his sexual orientation; his
fearful nature; his aggression, and so on through the list of genetic manifestations
that at
various times & places are
censured,
and thus those subject to same
tend to keep
culpable behavior from public
view,
but such innate proclivities
as supra noted
cannot be kept from other people’s
awareness,
regardless of avowals to the
polite contrary,
(as is part of the unspoken,
universal game-of-civil-pretend
in which the collective herd
of mankind is made to engage).
But withal, the plain fact remains
-- and everyone knows it --
that no one successfully, ‘hides’
what they actually ARE from anyone;
everyone recognizes quite well
precisely who other people are,
and what they are like;
anything less would be unnaturally
inefficient for life.
This dreamlike belief alone is
adorable enough,
but when you have men then apply
it to themselves,
it becomes almost too precious
to bear.
Picture the indisputable, cold
blooded physical reality of the situation:
let us use as an example, a
man born with his hormonal, neural & other systems wired such that
he is
sexually attracted to members
of his same gender;
it is accepted pretty generally
now through good & detailed science
that in the human being, the
brain, (so to speak),
is the, ‘brains-of-man's-business':
it plays a role in the monitoring,
regulation, and control of
all man’s vital operations,
and to say you believe that
a man’s inborn sexual preference,
(or his instinctive aggression,
or shyness), can be, or has ever been -- -- unknown
to his brain
defies, (theatrically speaking),
belief.
Your
brain knows everything about you that IS
to be known.
This
is no theory;
it
is not open to meaningful debate.
If
there is something about you that your brain does not know,
then
you are a walking dead man;
it
is a true miracle you have survived this long.
Once looked at directly like
this,
how can you fail to instantly
realize & accept its veracity & accuracy?!
…And yet men do.
Educated, intelligent, talented
men;
how can someone trained in Neurology
hear the idea of men,
’Hiding-things-from-themselves’
without either laughing,
or offering correction?!
But they will do neither,
when ‘technically speaking’
they know that the whole concept
cannot, ‘technically be’
--
yet they will nod along agreeably
& apparently, knowingly with the idea.
It is not because of their stupidity,
or a flaw in medical education:
it is because the, brains-of-man’s-business
-- his brain --
has, for some reason, decided,
via, The-Voices,
to tell him that he believes
that he can keep things about himself
hidden from himself,
which of course at base, is
the brain saying to itself that there are
things that it knows which it
actually does NOT know. Right.”
The elder nudged the boy, and
they began walking from the stables toward the pool as he picked back up
his comments.
“You can forget those mystical,
doe-eyed, far-away exotic descriptions of what it is to be in a state of
stagnated, hypnotized,
deluded & deranged consciousness,
for I have just given you the
direct, down-home, full & complete, scientific analysis of what it
is:
to be, ‘asleep, captured &
unenlightened’ is to believe your brain when
it says that there are things
about you that you do not know --
things that you have hidden
from yourself;
you are being too charitable
to call yourself, ‘asleep’
--
be a man -- call yourself
what you really are: a moron.
The zenith of this zaniness goes
even beyond this:
your brain’s assertion, (I’m
sorry, I mean of course: ‘your-belief-that),
there are other things
being hidden from you,
things that would supernaturally
-- Wake you up!
Open your eyes! Set you
free, and reveal to you -- The
Secret itself!
My boy, for those like us,
born with wiring systems, fated
to follow this carnival,
there is simply nothing comparable,
and no acceptable substitute,
but there is more to it available
than just the thrill of the rides:
it is possible to gain a bird’s
eye-blink-view of the entire fairgrounds;
to see through AND past your
own brain’s patently misleading,
and fallacious assertions that
there are things about
who & what you are of which
you, (it), are ignorant,
and that there are metaphysical
things that a human, (it), can know
that will answer all questions,
and banish all sleep.
Right.
So you are going to seriously
listen to your brain tell you such things --
the very same brain that says
there are things even now about you
of which it has no knowledge;
the kind of brain that in an
ordinary, sane man will supposedly one day, in his middle years suddenly
say: “Oh, I just realized something:
I am sexually attracted to my
own sex!
Well, my goodness
-- isn’t THIS a surprise!”
as though his brain is capable
of finding places within itself to hide
thoughts where it cannot later
locate them.
Not being able to recall your
phone number from childhood is one thing, but forgetting your sexual orientation
is quite another.
(Or about your severe temper,
or propensity for laziness,etc.)
And this is the
voice you are going to listen to lead
you to,
’Hidden Knowledge & Enlightenment?’
Right.
If your brain did not already
know everything it needs to know
for you & it to achieve
another state of cognition
it could never have thought
of such a thing in the first place.
Aren't you begining to get it?!"
They then pulled up chairs pool
side, and sat quietly for while.
