                         THOSE WHO CAN   ---  THINK;
          THOSE WHO CAN’T --  TALK ABOUT THEIR LIFE.

                               Are You Just A Snake Bait Date?)

Thinking about other people’s ideas is not thinking.

                                                * * *

Thinking is not doing, and doing does not require thinking.

                                                * * *

Heeding anything save the sound of tomorrow
is listening to the voices of the dead.

                                                * * *

If men were not given to self criticism,
the civilized could not prove that they are.

                                               * * *

Men with small minds often have the largest stories to tell.

                                                * * *

A man with a serious philosophy-of-life has fulfilled at least
50% of his normal intellectual requirements ……
…..or else is half dead…….according to how you look at it.

                                                * * *

All children can be made more mature by being made
more serious…
...which depends solely on which of their toys you break…
    ...same as with grown ups.

                                                * * *

A man who actually knows how to think,
                                doesn’t care what others think.

                                                * * *

Within a herd, all sane/acceptable thought sounds
                             remarkably moo-like.

                                                * * *

Being: aligned, committed, dedicated to a philosophy
is death-by-gradual-strangulation.

                                               * * *

The distinction between being sad and being stupid is
                  super subtle...................(if that).

                                                * * *

One prisoner’s offering of moral advice to another prisoner
is one of confinement’s small pleasures.

                                                * * *

Once you recognize the nature of you & other humans ,
there is no further need for self criticism  --
                       ... it has already been well taken care of.

                                                * * *

A man with an independent mind has a loaded gun  --
         -- and no one to frighten with it.

                                                * * *

The collective minds of ordinary humanity
will follow any plan that promises the impossible.

                                                * * *

Acting blind & stupid in the presence of the rest of humanity
                 is the sincerest form of flattery.

                                                * * *

If you do Thing-X,
and add to it, thinking-about-doing-it,
the product is not: “Doing-thing-X, plus  thinking-about-it,”
but a third thing entirely,
(which men normally overlook.... since it often results in “Progress”).

                                                * * *

Beyond physique: there is no “self improvement”
other than achieving intellectual independence.

                                                * * *

Update: Acting stupidly is the most flattering form of imitation.

                                                * * *

Okay, another expansion: The ultimate in “self improvement” would be the total abandonment of the whole deal.

                        “I wash my hands of my hands.”

He who knows what is going on is the secret class clown.

If the body could talk,
in most people,
what it would say to the mind is not fit to repeat.

                                                * * *

      Water continually circulating thru their gills keeps fish alive;
                    constant self-reference does a similar job
                          with routine men’s sense-of-a-self.

              (Have you given yourself your daily reminder that
               everything being said here, [behind the symbolism],
               is talking about things that go on in your head.)

Farmers most in doubt regarding the freshness of their produce are
the first to push it as  being organic.
   (All myopia & stupidity are “home grown”  --
……if that’s of any consolation…….as opposed to:
”Who knows where that secret door is that let men into this universe to begin with?”)

As hormones get old they get weak;
as neurons do, they go berserk.
(P.S. They can get old at any early age.)

                                                 * * *

Telling other people what kind of person you are
is a prisoner explaining that stripes are actually checks.

Remember that the motto: “The past sucks!” was not coined yesterday.
(Remember also that:  All real trains run on real time,
and all real-time-trains run over the toes of mere spectators-by-the-tracks.
He who expects to gain The Understanding some day soon
might as well go ahead, and expand the slogan to read:
“The future also sucks!........ and leaves much to be desired.”

So where doeth that leaveth thou, Horatio?!
