       AND NOW TO COVER: THE GREAT TRUTH
                          _____________________

There is no need for any Great Truth,
Supreme Dharma, or Secret Teaching;
all that is needed --  and in fact all that there is  --  IS,
a man’s thoughts about such things;
beyond that, all there is is Enlightenment itself.

Whenever he would be driving along,
(and would think about it),
the main thing that one man hated about the idea of being in a head-on collision
was his picture of him laying in a hospital
for a long period of time –unconscious --
--  ‘til one day it hit him:
”If I was unconscious, I wouldn’t know where I was,
or have any sense of time --  so, hey! --
what’s there to worry about?!”
       (“Some relief, huh?!
         And a good thing you didn’t try to use,
        being-unconscious-for-a-long-period-of-time
         due-to-a-car-wreck
        as a metaphor for god-only-knows-what-else.
                                       Jeeze!”)

One man talked funny,
but the closer, and longer he listened,
the less funny his talking sounded.

He eventually reached a point in his life
where he didn’t know if he was talking less funny,
or had just become more acceptant of it.

Two collateral facts: first:
the word, “talk” is a synonym for many things,
and second:  any “point” you reach in your life
is purely an imaginary one.

            Everything that talks --  talks about itself,
                      and one of the things that  does,
                 does a particularly tur’able job of it.

One man had two dogs,
and when either was home --  the other was gone;
truth is, he never saw them both at the same time.

                  The man BELIEVED he had two dogs.

There is a sight that is blind,
and you may think that this makes no sense -- but --
Hark! Heed! & Ho!, --   it is your mind that thinks this,
the very thing that engages in blind-sight
                        (“Convenient, huh?!”)

A corner in one man’s room was dark & empty;
from it he eventually filled the rest of his house.

The ordinary laud knowing:
the extra ordinary secretly celebrate that within them
that says: “I do not know.”
It proves to be their truest ally.

No one ever gets wet without their clothes first understanding “dryness,”
and anything that knows the nature of dryness
understands how you go from there to wetness.
Ergo: don’t let your head lie to you,
saying that it does not know how to get out of your present wet-condition.
All sleepers in bed know exactly how they got in that state from their earlier one that day of being awake.
Only your mind will deny that it understands this;
only your mind says that it is either: confused, or,
confident, (depending evidently, on the time of day,
humidity, Dow Jones average, NBA Playoffs,
and other important matters.)

It is only that thing continually yapping in men’s heads
that says it does not understand things:
life, other people, and the person it is in.
What a laugh --
what a sublime joke on the sublimely gullible,
(or at least the supremely tolerant --
to have put up with this prank,
lo these thousands of human years.)
      Just try and pull this nonsense on a real dog!

Which brings up the question:
Why are there no Grief Counselors for tigers?

In the city wilds: ordinary minds are catatonic;
those who close up their back yards become
              dogatonic --   and never shed a tear.

One man acquired an Alert Mechanism,
but forgot to ask how to operate it.
(The urban-neural-police visited him later,
and charged him with, Felonious Irony --
-- which his attorney got reduced to,
Misdemeanor Mortal-Being --
-- which, although it reduced the man’s fine,
did nothing to decrease his mortification of
having an alarm clock in his hands,
and then forgetting that he had hands.)

So -- here we are back to the,
you'll-never-take-me-alive fact
that the very mind,
the state of consciousness that you consider your lowest, and most unworthy,
is the only one you have, or will ever have,
and the key to the lock you’re wanting to pick
is setting right there in the fact that your mind,
state of consciousness instantly, absolutely,
out-of-hand & unconditionally rejects the idea.

One guy began to get a glimpse of it:
”Anything my thoughts say is so --  I can assume is not.”
......…and to his profit, he learned to count on it.

A father asked his son if he wanted to play,
Who Do You Trust --
and the boy shot him in the groin pull,
(which is not the same game they play with tractors;
that’s called, Neural Dirt-Napping.
Careful that a city-liberated-dog doesn’t
whizz on your headstone.
  “Yeah  --  like I should BE so lucky.”)

       Here Lucky, here Lucky – commear boy.

Then there is the rollicking case of the man who
would not come……........when he called himself.
  (“Yeah again --  I should be so lucky myself!”)

              There is sense that is non sense,
and there is non sense that is the supreme sense.

   Few are ever alive at the same time on this planet
   who can recognize & distinguish between the two.

            But a significant hint can be given:
       meaningless non sense --  you can hear.
