April
21, 2001.
In the preceding days we have had:
“Facts,” “Anti Facts," and, “Fanti Acts;”
now it's time for -- THIS!
_____________
Everyone is born with an empty
box,
and it is your responsibility
to fill it.
No one is satisfied with what
their box gets filled with -- but --
they quickly get over it.
A select few do not, and in fact
get so gawdamighty all
riled up about it
that some of them eventually
even see-thru-the-box
(Not like in visually looking
thru the box itself,
but, "see thru" in the
sense of getting WISE
TO
the, there's-not-actually-anything-in-here
nature
of the box.)
Version
Dos:
Everyone is born with an apparently
empty box,
and it is your responsibility
to fill it,
and once it is, (or you reach
your 16th birthday,
whichever comes first),
you discover that you are not
satisfied with the situation, and if you are ordinary --
you blame it on the quality
of what fills your box.
If you have been chosen for The
Grand Experiment
you will move on past that normally
terminal stage of dissatisfaction, and perhaps ultimately realize that
what seems to you to be the contents in your box is not
what is actually troubling you
-- No, No! --
-- it is not the contents.
(“Nice to know, huh?!
...and, oh yeah, it’s not the box either.
Hey, when you look at it that way --
what’s not to like?!")
On the first day of his special
week,
a man must
talk to start the process of
un-confusing
himself;
on Tuesday he begins talking
to others specifically about
finding someone who can teach
him to become,
un-confused;
on Wednesday he talks about
all of his confusion with
whoever he has selected to instruct
him;
on Thursday he tells his teacher
that he is not becoming less confused,
and on Friday they are
both talking --
arguing over whose fault it
is that he is still not
un-confused,
and by Saturday the man is talking
to himself about giving up the struggle altogether, and just staying confused
like everyone else -- but then on Sunday --
the privileged & persistant
few
finally catch-on -- and,
shut
the mystical-hell up.
Six days of blabber & contemplation,
a sudden moment of silence & liberation.
(“Looking back on it now I see that I always
actually understood what was going on --
-- it was just my explanations that threw me.”)
On one
world was a thing that could describe things --
and anything
it described it described accurately –
-- anything that is -- but
itself.
People who
want to wake up
don’t really want much --
-- just the impossible.
Don’t keep looking at what you
believe you understand --
your non-understanding
is the real teacher,
it is in fact, the key to everything.
Ask yourself how it is possible
to
not understand
something in a realm that is
entirely make believe to begin
with.
You were not born, “not
understanding” the
meaning of things; such
as,"life," or, “who you are,”
(and all the rest):
you had to learn
this, “not understanding.”
Does
that make any sense to you?
(“Thank god for my stupidity,
or I’d a been born awake --
-- then what would I’ave done for fun?”)
Quiz:
Other
than the fact that they are human:
how
can you tell for sure that
someone
doesn’t know what-is-going-on?
A: They are too serious.
Q:
How else?
A: They are too frivolous.
Q:
How else?
A: They say they know the score
in life.
Q:
How else?
A: They do not like
some
of the scores they perceive.
Q:
How else?
A: They claim that some of the
games are rigged.
Q:
How else?
A: They do not know who rigged
them, or how it is done.
Other
than for the fact that you are human --
why do you
not understand the game?
Although
there are reasonable excuses for everything,
there
is none for you not knowing where
all
excuses come from --
-- from no where! -- that’s where.
They
have no parents; they have no birth place;
the vacummous need for excuses
brought about their appearance.
(“Can you say: ‘Where
did this empty box come from,
and what is the meaning of me having it?”)
Two main courses of action are
responsible for
confusing humans:
one is: trying to figure things
out,
and the other is: not trying
to figure them out.
There was a man who had a horse
he rode,
and no matter where he told
the horse to go --
-- it would go wherever
it pleased -- and,
the man never seemed to
notice.
It’s hard to believe,
but he sure acted
like
he didn’t notice;
wherever the steed took him
-- once there --
he’d do a jam-up job of pretending
that was where he wanted to go all along.
A
small, obscure splinter band of horse fanciers
took
on the solitary task of studying the steed --
no
one ever had before --
…..they never published
the results of their study.
Elvira’s
Soliloquy For All Mankind:
”I daily give thanks
for
the many disturbing things
of which I remain unaware.
…(Well -- I feel sure
that they would be disturbing….
…if I knew about them. Humph!”)
In a universe that is shaped
funny,
you can run as hard as you can
in one direction -- and,
it won’t do you any good
-- but then
you can turn around and run
as hard as you can in the other direction, and make yourself think that
it
did
do some good.
Moral:
Never trust what you think --
…if you live in a universe that’s
shaped funny.
There
was a strange looking dog --
who
explained that his configuration was due to the
box,
I mean, dog house in which he was forced to live.
Ask
yourself: since there is no one in
your yard but
the dog --
-- who forces
him to live there?
Fact: Everyone loves stories;
fact: but no one likes them
to have, “Morals;”
fact: which is why they don’t
--
-- disabled listeners just IMAGINE
they do.
A part-time, “deep-thinker” asked
a mortician
as they surveyed the fields
of his labor:
”So -- what’s the point
of it all?”
“On average,
about 6K a pop.”
Moral:
It’s cheaper to die now...........while
you can still afford it.
Fact: All those who have caught-on
are now
LONG
GONE.
…(“What are YOU
waiting on?!”)
