JAN’S DAILY FRESH REAL NEWS

People talk about themselves to others,
and write their biographies in an effort to
tell the truth about themselves --
in that they are aware that what the voice in their head says about them is un-true,
(distorted & skewed).
Talking aloud is not the same as not,
and realizing what is behind this is most refreshing --
…(not to mention, mouth-shutting.)

Common to note among those seeking  the understanding is their mental self apparently not wanting to be in the same place and same time with their non mental self….
…or maybe it is the mental self not wanting to be with itself?!

To ever awaken, a man must first believe that there
is a mind beyond his mind;
being asleep is believing that there is a mind beyond your mind.
To live confused,  just keep on thinking that
there is a reality to the one you think there is
that is outside of your thoughts.

Once you learn to stay astride thoughts,
they turn out to be a one trick pony --
              --  and no one ever notices.

Prisoners are primed for movement;
the warden wants everything still.

The realm of understanding is almost one of a
special sort of solitude.
(Bare reality has few neighbors.)

One guy says: “Now that I know mind --  I know it all;
now that I know that mind cannot know itself --
I have no questions left.........…and yet I do have one:
even though I now know that mind cannot know itself  --
             --  why won’t  mine stop trying?”

There is a reality that is the exact reverse of this one;
it is where you first go on the trip to enlightenment, and if you survive that, you move on to a place that is more or less the opposite of that one, (but not really describable in the language you now use),
and after that --  smooooth sailing --
                         -- on to the ultimate prize.

Always be on the lookout; always be suspicious.
The supreme approach is to take the attitude that everything you think you understand  --
you have backwards.

The realm of understanding is almost one of a
special sort of solitude.
Bare reality has few neighbors.

Men tend to live their life as though
they are wearing a big padded suit & kitchen mitts.
Life makes men treat themselves,
and the mental reality they have created
as being extremely fragile.

                        Fact: Sissies never wake up.

             Be a fishnet; let the world run thru you;
                    don’t let a single thought stick.
             The trick is not in holding on the longest,
                      but in letting go the soonest.

Everyone gets two ponies to ride;
most people end up gettin' drug by 'em;
an excitable cowboy keeps jumpin' from one to the other 'til they both git plum tuckered out --
...then he rides himself off into the sun set.
