      THE NEWS NEVER STOPS
           UNLESS YOU DO.
                    ____________

On one world was a thing which
the creatures in charge judged to be mechanical,
but unbeknownst to them was the fact that
they too were mechanical.
Here is how the pertinent situation stands:
creatures who were given thoughts,
and programmed to believe they are free,
have created robots which they programmed to believe were free,
part of which was the freedom to believe that
they could think…
just like their creators had been programmed to believe that they could.

                  A creature born into a house of mirrors
                  will never know how he really looks -- head on --
                  without the distraction of reflections.
                  (Read: A creature born into a mind.)

Every morning, immediately after arising,
to prepare himself for the upcoming day,
one man would look at himself in the mirror over the
bathroom sink and say: “Okay, you know the drill.”

The unrecognized benefit of a teaching devoted to instructing a person on how to achieve the goal of:
freedom-of-mind is that,
as he studies the teaching’s ideas it gives the person
the impression that he is doing something
pertinent to the aim;
this however is also the unrecognized detriment.

      On one world, the therapy for blindness is to have a
                wise man poke you in the eyes.

It is not sleep or ignorance that drives the few to
pursue that elusive-mental-goal;
it is the brain’s awareness of itself.

Enlightenment-of-the-mind has often been
characterized by those claiming to have experienced it as:
“Everything coming together,”
and to that let it be noted that this primarily applies to
a man’s sense of a self.

                   “You doth protest too much.”
                       “But I only protesteth a little.”
                ”Ahh --  but even that is – too much."

Once men got it straight that when you face north, west is on your left and east on your right,
everything after that was a breeze --
a southern breeze.

        Don’t let your mind be made inflexible;
        after that – you make it be like a stone.

If you are truly dedicated to this-sort-of-thing,
open your eyes to what is right before you --
--  right now  --  right  inside of you.
You either want to get to the heart of it, or you don’t;
either want to understand it all --  including understanding what wanting to understand is --
                      or else you’re just playing with it.

Another man always begins his day by looking at himself in a mirror and declaring:
“With a head like that,
don’t bother telling me you have a headache.”

Once men knew a secret --
but they didn’t know it was a secret --
and they didn’t know that they knew it.

       Now no one knows it,
       but everyone believes they do --
       …now that they’ve come to think about it.

On one world, drunks are medicated with muscatel.

Let a man write a history of something  -- anything;
then let him rewrite it & take his “I” out of it completely.

   What will be left will be a picture of him -- enlightened.

On one world,
the treatment for substance abuse is cocaine.

   A thing without depth can’t hurt you;
   it shouldn’t even bother you.

      A thing without substance cannot stop you;
      why should you let it even slow you down?!

As a man wises up,
he gradually begins turning to self medication;
he eventually relies thereon totally;
then finally abandons medication altogether.

Question:
How does a patient recognize that he is not ill?
By the realization that
he and the diagnosing physician are one.

 “Ain’t it great to be well?!" exclaimed a father to a son,
(he also reminded the lad not to stand too close to,
                           you-know-what,
“All it’ll do is make you sick all over again.”)

“O tempora!    Ain’t it great to be well!” he said.
