REGARDING:
PLACES & THINGS;
GOODS & SERVICES.
______________
There is a banquet table laid
out, and all men hunger;
few avail themselves of this
particular feast;
it feeds not the body directly,
nor does it add weight to the
mind;
it rather satisfies a need,
obscure in humans;
’tis a food that counteracts
the bilious affects of
dreams in general,
and the acrid aftertaste of
complaints in particular.
Many have eyes for the morsels
--
but few have the stomach;
numerous be those who fantasize
their consumption,
but scarce be those with pockets
to match the bill,
but in that the fare is not
tangible,
their intangible dreams thereof
suffice.
He who eats from this table never
gains weight;
the quality of its nourishment
is such that
the more you partake thereof,
the less bulky you become.
Is it any wonder that the price required
is so knotty to calculate?!

There is a place where everyone
wants to go;
most men are simply aware that
they want to be somewhere other than where they are;
only a few sense that the feeling
has a
specific destination,
but when they attempt to go
there,
they discover that no such place
is shown on
terrestrial maps;
they then turn to metaphysical
ones which purport to offer the desired directions -- but they do
not;
they certainly say they do,
and to the inexperienced eye,
appear to -- but they do not,
for anywhere that anyone says
the destination is --
-- it isn’t.
…(Some weird place, huh?!)
So then, how can it ever be located?
Simple:
first: ignore anything that
anyone has ever said about
where it is,
then with all of that out of
the way,
press forward strictly on your
own -- with determination
based on the certainty that
others before you
have found it, and it has not
been moved since then --
-- it can’t be --
it’s in you.
Some strange journey, huh?! --
one where the destination is in the traveler.

There is a certain wealth accessible
to man,
but one so unconventional as
to resemble poverty;
its possession diminishes a
man’s holdings rather than
increasing them.
Everyone arrives here rich,
and most spend the
rest of their life attempting to become more so;
a few, (however), are born with
a propensity to get sidetracked from the rest;
they smell a wealth that is
not traded in the marketplace;
it is a commodity whose value
is in
making its possessor poor.
...(Poor people! What a
curious treasure!)
Obtaining this wealth strips
a man of all
ordinary mentation;
he is beyond being merely naked
--
he is so inwardly destitute
as to be invisible;
he is like a mentally homeless
person in the midst of
a bustling city
who is not even noticed by the
rest of the people,
mentally immersed in their busy,
commercial affairs.
He ultimately is such a figure
in the metropolis of his own
mind;
poverty stricken through his
own efforts;
lacking in the routine mental
currency
in use all around him.
Nothing there he can buy any
more;
nothing there he desires any
more;
once rendered poor by the acquisition
of the
special wealth,
he simply forgets to think about
imaginary possessions.
..(Pst! all mental possessions
are, you know,
the “i” word.)

Everyone believes they need help,
not just to physically survive
-- but to inwardly thrive;
their mind hungers for nourishment
-- AND,
assistance in locating it.
Most men live their inner lives
as children,
taking in whatever another’s
hand offers in a spoon.
From a flesh-&-bone view,
not only do ordinary minds live
on pablum,
but on a strictly imaginary
form at that -- BUT,
reflections require nothing
more than
additional reflections to survive.
The reason that searchers cannot
find the
mystical city of Atlantis is
because all such locations are constructed of intangible building materials.
The only remnants of dreams
are dreams --
hence their annoying recollection
when awake.
The special help needed by the
few is not available --
-- that is its unique
value -- you can’t GET it!
Just trying to get it from someone
else assures that you will forever be in need:
you can’t GET it,
you can’t get it,
you can’t get.
GOD! what a relief!

There are men who continually
look,
and what they attempt to see
is their self;
but this looking never leads
anywhere,
for their self cannot see its
self.
There are men who sleep and
thrash;
they dream of awakening from
the fitful sleep,
but they never do;
they mistakenly struggle in
their mind to
overcome the thrashing while
never directly
peeking under the covers to
discover its cause.
There is a thing that constantly
points,
and it attempts to point at
itself;
this thing that constantly points,
never points to itself --
it can’t.
Mind is the source of all dreams;
body, the subject of all nightmares.
Mind is author of all behavior
that
body would never have thought
of.
So why make it suffer more grief
than it might have,
strictly on its own?!
….there is no reason – no reason at all.
There is a thing that constantly points to the secret,
but few have the eyes/I’s to look in the right direction.
