Stories From Around The World,
And Down Your Street
THE DRIVE-BY LIFE
Under routine conditions, men’s
consciousness of life
is as though it is a drive-by-incident
of which they just happen to
be an observer,
(and some time participant);
their best knowledge of it being
based on little more than brief, periodic glances given to it as it passes
by.
If you are not in that real time,
special state
whereby your brain's conscious
attention
is under its own conscious control,
you are simply a nervous system
whose responses are
strictly un conscious and non
personal;
-- there is no you
in you -- only animal instinct;
you are not fully human.
The brain has a hand -- use it.
THE DOG GOES FIRST
All those who decide to look
for the understanding commence
convinced that the first step is to
quieten their yapping dog.
Most
never pass this frustrating stage.
Those who adopt a system to aid
in their search
soon come to see the territory
they trod as being one of:
Bi-lateral Potential:
they are either in their ordinary
state of mind,
or else in a more alert one,
and they constantly shift from
one to the other:
they are dozing -- then
realize it,
and pop into the more alert
state --
where they stay for a moment
--
then -- literally
-- “before-they-know-it” --
they’re back in the ordinary,
distracted state until
once again they finally realize
it, and in so doing,
suddenly are back in the more
alert state once again,
and so on, over and over to
eternity.
Why does no one perceive another
possible
perspective on this,
and rather than sticking to
the common, historical view of what was just described, as it being
the reality of a:
Bi-Lateral Potential,
why not see it instead in light
of what it fairly SCREAMS
out to be: A
Sequential Inevitability?!
(Since he seems destined to do
it anyway):
Give the dog the first bark
– forget about it --
then you take over.
The system that one man peddled
to do-this-thing, he labeled: “No matter
how you put it back together --
there always seems to be some parts left over.”
WHATEVER IT IS
If you can’t eat it, fuck it,
or use it as a pillow,
the serious attention it deserves
is -- none.
Everybody knows a con is going
on --
but nobody recognizes its specific
nature.
…they just can’t figure out what
the pay off is…
….”What
the hell’s the punch line?!?”
The level of consciousness in
man
is whatever life wants it to
be.
Men are no less or no more hip
to what is going on
than life, at any given moment,
needs them to be.
The joke’s on everyone who never realizes that --
it’s
all
a
joke.
YOU CAN
Struggle to be something extraordinary,
or become Super
Regular
by seeing --The
Irregular Interest
through to its finale.
There is nothing as ultimately
extraordinary as:
The Realization of The Accommodation.
(Nothing is as shamefully stupid as
lightening moaning over the noise of thunder.)
Clinging to the impression
that there is both an
ordinary mind and an enlightened
mind
is swapping security for
the truth.
THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC
A man with one-way-thoughts
is on a one way street,
and a man who thinks of himself
as being what he thinks,
defines a one
way street.
No one is going anywhere
who believes that he is going
somewhere,
but everyone must try
to go --
but then eventually realize
the reality of
the five words that begin this
sentence;
once that is accomplished --
it is smooooooth
sailing to no where! --
to right where you’ve secretly been wanting to go.
The dead will not only “bury
the dead,”
but will RE-bury them --
over, and over, and over again;
and indeed will actually live
a greater part of their lives
in the graveyard -- weeping
over the illusion of a past.
A
man with regrets is a
dead man standing.
Everybody has a palm pilot, (an
electronic butler),
implanted in their head that
constantly reminds them of their life thus far & dream-weaves a presumed,
pertinent future.
A
man with a tomorrow
-- died yesterday.
A man who handed out maps that
perhaps pointed in
the right direction, published
them under the title:
“One Mind: One Time: One Place.”
In the far away -- mystic-hall
of the far away – secret
mystic-master,
the great secret was:
Do it NOW.
LOOK HERE
From the nervous system --
the brain;
from the brain --
consciousness;
from consciousness --
the mind,
and from mind -- the chopped
liver that once was
a butcher shop.
Mind searching for “The truth”
is --
looking for the hole in, “keyhole”.
The belief that there are things
that cannot be touched that are important, significant, even sacred,
is held only by: the sane,
civilized and ordinary,
(in other words) : by almost
the entirety of humanity,
……..….almost.
All suspect that there must be
a short cut
to
the understanding
-- which is true --
but few take advantage of it:
it is in going off on the trail
that heads toward the area:
”There-must-be-a-short-cut-to-the-understanding,”
to investigate exactly what
is going on over there.
Consciousness has a grip
