JAN’S DAILY FRESH REAL NEWS

For those with a real interest in solving-the-case,
and getting  the understanding,
there is within these stories, practical things to do;
while you may find them entertaining,
there is more to them than that…..if you’re interested.

                              THE LOOKOUT

One explorer had a lookout who did his job with
great skill ---  except when they would rest;
then the lookout would engage in introspection --
becoming a look IN – looking in at himself;
an effort at which he was alarmingly inept,
and more than that:
in spite of his supreme alertness when
surveying conditions and activities outside himself,
he seemed completely unaware of those
inside himself, specifically:
his abject failure at self analysis.

         Wherever someone points --  look the other way
      (“Someone” includes the thoughts in your own head).

       Everyone’s head tries to look at itself --  don’t fight it.

           Dust can’t be eradicated --  only moved around.

                        THE MECHANIC

One man had a mechanic who did good work,
and was quite serious,
but when there was nothing for him to do,
he clowned around --  but something curious:
at those times, he wasn’t aware of him acting the fool,
and considered himself to be as serious as usual.

It seemed that when he had no work to do,
            he lost all conception of himself.

                            THE PATIENT

There was once a doctor who was involved in an
unusual situation;
he had a patient who was never ill except when
the doctor was present,
(and it gets stranger still):
the patient was never aware he was ill, and in fact
did not even know that he was being attended to
by a doctor   --
but the doctor was fully aware of the situation
exactly as just described.

How could such a thing go on?
(and must you be told outright, WHERE it goes on?!)

                THE COMPANY

There was once a company whose specialization was Analysation, an activity at which they excelled.
One day the C.E.O. decided it would be beneficial for
the company to analyze its own operations,
and directed the appropriate people to start work thereon.
It became a ongoing activity,
but it turned out that the company could not
analyze itself --
it also turned out that
no one in the company ever realized this.

         Thus all involved continued to work on the project
                                       just as though
                it was actually accomplishing something.

            THE GREAT INEVITABLE

There is a Great Inevitable under which all men live;
everyone is aware it is there,
and most think it is death  --  but they wrong,
and they are wrong because --
The Great Inevitable WANTS them to be wrong.

Discover for yourself what The Great Inevitable is,
and why it skews men’s conception of it,
and you have --  Made The Great Discovery --  AND,
rendered The Great Inevitable  --   IRRELEVANT!

Only ordinary people with no interest in
the understanding
will think of themselves as being either
right handed, or left handed; either tall or short;
either deserving or condemnable.
Only the blind judge their appearance,
only the deaf, their singing talent,
and only the imbecilic make note of their intelligence.

By virtue of individual ants’ inner oblivion
does the colony think,
and by your confirming your right handedness,
does your understanding remain but
a blur of a cow face in a faceless herd.

You cannot repeat what your thoughts say that you are
 without you be prepared to remain as you are;
hippos do not realize it, but every time one introduces himself as, “a  hippo, to be sure” --  he has re-sealed his
internment in hippo-dome. (Of course you can try to dismiss this by saying how dumb hippos are anyway,
but then you miss the point.

A man on the search for the understanding,
who continues to entertain seriously
what is said about him in his own head
continues to shoot himself in the foot
even while insisting that he wants to run.
There is no grosser example of
self-supported misdirection than
staying entangled in this most common,
and unexceptional of
ordinary mortal affairs.

Only the lost will say that they are lost or not,
and by so saying, insure their continued lostness.

If you really want to find the way --  don’t be an idiot –
just --  shut up!
                         ….and leave it at that.

p.s. The solution of the case is this: the Investigator cannot see the suspect……much less talk to him….
in fact  --   he can’t even think about him.
