Still on the case,
into which further looks
could be justified.
The 3 Stages Of Not
Knowing:
Stage one is where everyone begins,
and most people end:
it is the state where in you
do not know,
and you do not know that you
do not know.
Stage two must be individually
achieved,
and though in this condition,
you still do not know, now you know that you do not know.
Stage three is seldom realized
--
oh, men dream of another, and
in fact
believe that they understand
what it would be -- for,
what it would be -- OBVIOUSLY
--
is a condition where in they
would finally KNOW
--
but they are mistaken,
and thus even if they reach
stage two,
the efforts they make from there
on out,
to depart there on from
are not directed at the correct
target;
thus, what transpires there
on after
cannot come as a surprise.
The routine investigatory mind believes that
the proper treatment of motion sickness is --
-- added motion;
the cure of lack -- more,
and the solution to overindulgence -- even MORE.
Why does
a man born wearing a hat he dislikes
spend the rest of his life trying
on other people’s?
If you listen to your own hat-wearing-head,
it will give a seemingly reasonable
response to this question, but in so doing it merely upholds the already
established pattern of looking
in the wrong direction
to ever experience stage three
of not knowing.
Those of
stage one and two of not knowing
want wants,
while those who have had flashes
of the realization
want an escape from useless
wants.
Even if they found favor with
the idea,
people in stages one & two
cannot recognize what ARE “useless wants,”
(in the non-physical sense --
which, you are reminded,
is all ever being herein talked
about).
Men with standard issue discriminatory
facilities,
if they attempt a census of
their mental population,
conclude that some citizens
are
more worthy than others,
and will readily agree that
some in fact are probably,
”useless,” and contribute nothing
meaningful to the
overall well-being-of-the-state,
but such conclusions are native
characteristics of
stages one & two, and are
infallible indicators
of a man’s low degree of not
knowing.
It is a deluded diagnostician who detects
varying intensities of illness.
In the
second stage, men become aware of not only their displeasure with the individual
hat on their head,
but of the general worthlessness
of those
being worn by others,
yet in this stage they still
cannot resist --
-- in spite of having
glimpsed its futility --
bouts of envy and criticism
directed there at;
they know that the passing cars
their yard dog chases
are vehicles no better than
their own,
yet the beast will still run
after them,
yapping in various combinations
of
it imagining it to BE the car
mixed with denunciations of
its mere existence.
Once a thirsty man knows what saltwater is,
why does he continue to drink it?
If you
do not know, and do not know that you
do not know -- then there is
clearly no hope for you,
and if you do not know
-- AND
know that you do not know -- BUT
do not know what it is that you
need to know ABOUT
to bring the matter to a head,
then you are still not a lot
better off -- BUT NOW
knowing-about-this
is your way out --
…though few men ever make use
of it --
…even should
they hear of it --
…what do you make of that?!
Is that a cheer we hear for
Monday?! --
-- the god of all that
is clear, murky,
pure & gaudy.
J
…you see, the thing about trying
to
ride-that-train from
sleeping-paris
to
awakened-instanbul
is that
once you understand the true
nature of rail travel
it does not matter WHERE
you are on the tracks,
for all roads lead to ________
(fill in the blank with
whatever tasty verbal morsel
tickles your fanny),
the ultimate
pie-slicing being that:
some men know this -- and,
most men do not -- ESPECIALLY
those who --
say they do --
for those who make such claims
are the supreme --
not knowers.
P.S. their
numbers are such that they are never in need of additional members….just
in case you can think of something else you might prefer to do for the
next
fifty or twenty years.
