How can it be Sunday
again already?
How can it not
be?!
How can we be back here again?
Where else could
we be?!
How many different times can
a man
see the same reality?
How many
times can our local reality
produce in the same body --
a different man?!
…(Don’t you find it easier not
to concentrate on the problem, here at the beach?!)
What ordinary men call “moral issues”
are actually biological realities
that ordinary men are not yet equipped to face.
There
was once a world ruled by beings who
lived
beneath the surface, and who were invisible.
”Then how do you know that they existed --
much less that they ruled?”
Ah!
- but such is the only explanation for
what
goes on in that place.
There was once a man with a magical lantern
who went off in search of a fabled prize.
He never found it, but did later learn that
it was a magical lantern.
What you think you want,
and what you think you don’t,
both follow your thinking.
That which is automatic and not
thought about,
is necessary;
that which is automatic and
thought about
is merely redundancy.
To be alive is necessary;
to be redundant
is to make being alive annoying.
He said to a mirror:
”Seeing me like this
reminds me of you.”
Living, just you,
in a cave with THE
KNOWLEDGE;
never a shortage of dead wood,
thoughts for the fire.
Said he to the flames:
“On the walls of the cave,
live my shadows;
where I truly am,
none can say.”
He alone, with THE
UNDERSTANDING,
knows that no one knows.
…which sets him free from the
realm of shadows.
Nothing seems so obdurate as mind,
but it is mind that makes us say so.
Where can man go
to get THE KNOWLEDGE;
what bird can fly
inside a cave?
Looking
in a pool
at
his reflection,
he
wondered:
“How
come I
to be
trapped in there?……here?……there?…
A
mind that thinks only, “me”
has
its host held captive in me.
All you need do
is,
not be you.
No one who’s me
will,
ever be free.
The brain can walk without talking,
but when it does talk
-- shadows seem to
come alive.
Realized he: “When
I am but a reflection of myself,
I have no real
self to speak of.
…which is why I speak of myself so much.”
The man with THE
UNDERSTANDING,
keeps it quiet.
A
son asked his father:
”You
have never told me all that you really know, have you?”
“If I had, you would no longer be merely a son.”
What
a man does not say to himself
is
eventually more important than what he does.
In a small open space
is
no room for a guest.
The proper son no longer troubles
the old man
with questions.
Inside the house of
a man-who-knows
is room enough for the universe
--
-- but not for the local
community.
You KNOW
alone --
you stupid together.
