People who waste their energy in life
waste it by complaining about the conditions of life.

The conditions of life appear to change because of
people’s complaints about them.

Life allots each person enough energy for them to
fulfill their role in the herd;

in a few people there seems to be an excess sufficient for them to spend a little energy on just themselves.
                      Why waste it at the movies?!

                      You can look at the radio,
                      you can listen to the music,
                      you can look at the radio, & realize that
                      apart from the music – there is no radio.

Cattle believe that conditions control their lives,
(although they do not think about it).

   Ordinary men believe, (based on conditions),
that their lives are controlled by whatever the commentary in their head says they are
at any given moment,

and a man who has developed
snake-still consciousness
is beyond such illusionary mongoose concerns.

                       You can dance with your stomach,
                       you can dance with your mind,
                       and one of the two will make you dizzy.

Man is an aquarium --  dropped in the sea.

Forget about: “As above  --  so below,”  focus on:
”As out there --  so in here, and:
as in here --  same out there."

You are a cow;
you’re in a herd;
individual cows & the herd move as one.

See it,
accept it,
forget about it, and learn to do
useful mooing privately on your own
even amidst the herd’s meaningless meanderings.

                   One man swallowed a house,
                   then he swallowed a yard,
                   the combination of the two,
                   made him believe he was conscious.

                          Why squander your neural juices
                          on the squeaks of dead flutes when
                          live cobras are available.

Life runs with the herd;
life RUNS the herd;
cows do not realize:
”There is no life outside ourselves.”

Without the mental concept of outside conditions being something separate from his internal ones,
man would have no manipulable, serpentine consciousness --   and moreover:
without this natural arrangement,
there would not be those few cows, here & there
mentally muttering to themselves, and plotting escape from the warmth & safety of the herd.

 One cow’s secret cry:
                       “To hell with warmth --
                         my colon is warm;
                         forget about safety --
                         my lungs are safe;
                         what I want is the ability to see
                         the spot where I can mentally
                         step away from this mass stampede.”

Blame the snow,
but never your feet for not being webbed  --  or;
vice the old versey and stay inside ‘til it melts..

If you do not combine & confuse the conditions of life
with your mental commentary thereabout
you will not mistake the necessary for the useful,
or the real from the imaginary, or in fact,
even be interested in such notions.

                               Listen to your stomach,
                               listen to your head,
                               but don’t necessarily,
                               listen to your head.
