                           From one view,
                           what’s needed by the few
                           is a thorough interrogation.
                           ….(such as):

“Who is it that enjoys the running when I go running?”
“Who is it that enjoys the sexing when I go a’sexing?”
and foremost:
”Who is it that says, ‘Who’s that?’ when I say,
‘Who’s that?’”

Instinct knows who it is since there is nothing it can know outside of what it is,
but talking consciousness does not know who it is
since what it is does not exist outside of
what it says it is.

There is indeed no way that a man can ever alter the working state of his mind
without a working knowledge of what his mind is,
and the only apparent source of such knowledge
is the mind,
but only the inexperienced or totally inept
believe that the mind can, or will provide such info.

What interferes with a lifetime of peaceful sleep for a few people is a vague sensation that what generally goes on in their mind is not firmly & fully attached
to the rest of them.

The building materials for a man’s mental skyscraper
come solely from his physical genes, (where else?!),
and thus the ultimate penthouse cannot be unrelated
to the lower stories in that they all have the same source of supplies  --   but --
high up in the heady atmosphere at the top of
the structure  --   dreams are possible;
mental fantasies that are unknown to
the tenants lower down.
Livers do not daydream, nor lungs fantasize;
the cells that compose a man from
stem to mixed-metaphor-stern,
have no fantasy life  --  save, up high.
The localized cellular activity in the brain that produces thought in man
does daydream, and imagines things that ne’er exist.

Under some circumstances this can prove most valuable for the overall well-being of the structure
in that the dreamers-in-the-penthouse have a
unique, malleable memory of the building’s history
from which they can anticipate
potential future problems,
and make more efficient, current upkeep.

…and when they are not engaged in that sort of meaningful activity --  why they are free to just dream!
-- to fantasize about anything that crosses their mind.

Man lives by instinct, but his mind tells him otherwise.
..and while the mind can tell the stomach to “shut up,”
there is no one in the building to tell the MIND to
”stuff it!”

Just who does the mind think it is anyway?!
…simple: anyone it WANTS to think it is.
Next question: Who primarily DOES it want to think it is?
…simple: Why, “YOU” of course.
Thus does man’s mind, up in the dizzying heights of the cerebral penthouse, endlessly proclaim:
”It is me --  I mean, YOU,  (you know what I mean:
you’re supposed to take me and what I say
as being  you and what you think --
come on, you know the drill),
it is me  -- the me speaking these words
IS the actual person
from whose body this voice comes.”

Livers liver  --   lungs lung, and dreamers dream --
what else can they do?!
…simple: realize that they’re dreaming.
You know from experience in bed at night
that once you realize you’re dreaming – you wake up. …simple as that.

Ask yourself continually --  under all conditions,
during any activity: “Who is it that is doing this?”
It may sound ridiculous to ordinary ears,
but a man with-the-hunger will try it,
and will discover its practical merit.

It is not an instant or overnight thing --
you must stay on it relentlessly for it to suddenly --
--  pay off,
and when it does --  you will be
                          double-dipped delighted.
